Buffalo_Gal Posted November 16, 2019 Posted November 16, 2019 David Gibson of Oberlin College v Gibson has passed away. He had pancreatic cancer. His father is pretty old (91). How much this process has impacted the last years of these men's lives? The SJWs at Oberlin are truly horrible people. RIP 1 1 4

Because ads (supposedly) reflect at least a portion of the consumer demographic; ie a large amount of people. Folks like you or I may think this crap isn't worth a second of serious consideration, but I think we should remember that all ads, even the completely idiotic ones, have been focus grouped and deemed legitimate for public consumption.
B-Man Posted November 20, 2019 Author Posted November 20, 2019 BROWNSHIRTS: Student groups attempt to shut down conservative event at NC State. “Both the Young Democrat Socialists of America and an Antifa-offshoot called Smash Racism Raleigh protested an event on the NC State University campus last week. Days before the event, the two groups were also involved in an incident that led to a conservative student, son of U.S. Congressman Dan Bishop (R-N.C.), being hit in the face with spray paint.” Plus: “They came in a pre-planned effort to intimidate and censor us.” Congrats to NCSU for not yielding to violent intimidation by leftists. UPDATE: In the comments, people are wondering when we’re going to see federal civil rights prosecutions over these coordinated efforts to deny people their right to free speech. I wonder that too, but I think the answer is that in his second term, President Trump will have more flexibility.

Buffalo_Gal Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 Laura Ingalls Wilder removed from book award over racist language The US Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) has removed Laura Ingalls Wilder's name from one of its awards over racist views and language. The association had received complaints for years over the Little House on the Prairie author's "anti-Native and anti-Black sentiments in her work". The ALSC board voted unanimously on Saturday to remove Wilder's name from the children's literature award. The medal will be renamed as the Children's Literature Legacy award. The ALSC, a division of the American Library Association, said Wilder's novels and "expressions of stereotypical attitudes" were "inconsistent with ALSC's core values". Wilder's children's novels about pioneer life in the American West have been criticised for language that dehumanises indigenous peoples and people of colour. </snip> 2

That was the pioneer West. It was the country at the time. How about, as teachers, they teach that? 1
