26CornerBlitz Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 @ChrisWesseling From @RapSheet, via @ConorOrr last April: Eagles offer 2 first-round picks, third-rounder, Bradford, Cox for Mariota
Saxum Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 And he was a terrible GM who no longer has that power in SF.
Nanker Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Jeez. Two years out of kallage and he's reaching for his binky/security blanket. Philly fans must be delighted he's obsessing elsewhere now.
BillsFanForever19 Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Damn - Tennessee must have REALLY been sure about Mariota. I don't know what's worse: offering that deal or turning it down.
Big C Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Damn - Tennessee must have REALLY been sure about Mariota. I don't know what's worse: offering that deal or turning it down. I want to say turning it down, but that means their QB would be Sam Bradford.
nucci Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I want to say turning it down, but that means their QB would be Sam Bradford. But 2 1st rounders and Fletcher Cox.......
NoSaint Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I want to say turning it down, but that means their QB would be Sam Bradford. i mean, they could have either packaged bradford elsewhere or opted for someone else and used FA/trade to obtain a player. 2 firsts, a second, the eagles best d player and bradford could go a long way in acquiring talent.
YoloinOhio Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I remember that being reported or at least rumored at the time of the draft
Mr. WEO Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 i mean, they could have either packaged bradford elsewhere or opted for someone else and used FA/trade to obtain a player. 2 firsts, a second, the eagles best d player and bradford could go a long way in acquiring talent. I agree. How do you turn down that offer?
Saxum Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I agree. How do you turn down that offer? With a Laugh-O-Gram.
P51 Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 They could have flipped Bradford to Cleveland for a 1st (http://espn.go.com/blog/cleveland-browns/post/_/id/12609/browns-trade-offers-for-bradford-never-included-manziel), imagine the possibilities: 3 1sts, and 3rd (I would demand that be a 2nd) and Fletcher Cox.... Adding that to what they already have would go a long way to rebuilding. If I thought Mariota was the next Steve Young, then no. Otherwise, Yes.
Big C Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 But 2 1st rounders and Fletcher Cox....... Was just trying to make a Bradford joke.
Mark80 Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 They could have flipped Bradford to Cleveland for a 1st (http://espn.go.com/blog/cleveland-browns/post/_/id/12609/browns-trade-offers-for-bradford-never-included-manziel), imagine the possibilities: 3 1sts, and 3rd (I would demand that be a 2nd) and Fletcher Cox.... Adding that to what they already have would go a long way to rebuilding. If I thought Mariota was the next Steve Young, then no. Otherwise, Yes. One of the most overrated QBs of all time IMO. Had a few great seasons, but really only started for 8 seasons, that's it.
Captain Hindsight Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 i mean, they could have either packaged bradford elsewhere or opted for someone else and used FA/trade to obtain a player. 2 firsts, a second, the eagles best d player and bradford could go a long way in acquiring talent. Ask the Rams how that worked out Tenn made the right call One of the most overrated QBs of all time IMO. Had a few great seasons, but really only started for 8 seasons, that's it. Yeah what a bum
Nostradumbass Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 I agree. How do you turn down that offer? Because getting a shot at a potential franchise QB is infinitely more important than having Fletcher Cox and a bunch of 1st round talent on the roster

aristocrat Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 qb driven league and once you get the guy you just build around him. you don't trade him away
Jauronimo Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Ask the Rams how that worked out Tenn made the right call Yeah what a bum Cuz it worked out so well for Worshington?
Captain Hindsight Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Cuz it worked out so well for Worshington? Mariota is not RG3 Tenn made the right call.
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 If u think mariota is the man. I can't make that trade. He's ur dude for 10 plus years and gives u a chance for a super bowl
