The Big Cat Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 We need at least two more. This would be a start, I guess.

26CornerBlitz Posted March 18, 2016 Author Posted March 18, 2016 We need at least two more. This would be a start, I guess. @BuffaloBillsPR Free agent safety Robert Blanton has arrived at One Bills Drive and is currently visiting with the @buffalobills. The former fifth-round pick is also an experienced special teamer serving on all four core units for Minnesota.
26CornerBlitz Posted March 18, 2016 Author Posted March 18, 2016 @ChrisTrapasso Blanton will be 27 in September. 2012 RD5 pick from Notre Dame. 4.70 40-yd dash. Superb combine agility drills (6.71 3cone, 3.97 shuttle) 6'1" / 208-pound Blanton started 13 games at S for the #Vikings in 2014. Had a solid year. Lost starting role to Andrew Sendejo in '15. #Bills *definitely* need help / depth at safety. Blanton's visit makes plenty of sense. @NickMensio @ChrisTrapasso He was PFF's No. 4 overall safety vs. the run in 2014, fwiw.
26CornerBlitz Posted March 18, 2016 Author Posted March 18, 2016 @cover1eturner @TyDunne former corner in college, more of a cover guy. Can jump into slot in zone cov schemes. Not a bad option as a deep safety either.
Nanker Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 (edited) Probably a better Safety than McKelvin would have been - had we kept him. Edited March 18, 2016 by Nanker
John from Riverside Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Perhaps a replacement for Rambo? I loved Rambo's willingness to blast people.....but his coverage skills ugh

BillsFanForever19 Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Jim Dray, Robert Blanton, and Deonte Thompson is not what I had in mind when DW said "dust settles" secondary market guys. I know we have very little spending money. And I don't require "i've heard of him!" for everyone we bring in. But these seem like "Futures" contract guys.

Dray and Blanton certainly are not as they are established NFL veterans.

Nanker Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 What did you have in mind? You know. It's important to win Free Agency.
ALF Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 Sounds good if the price is right , need help at S and ST. He is good against the run.
YoloinOhio Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 At least he has experience defending Martellus Bennett twice a year. And Forte. He's depth as we have our two starters but with all the sub-packages it's an important role.

Manther Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 What did you have in mind?I know this wasn't addressed to me....but, I expected a NT and hoped for a LB to run Rex's D. I also thought we would have Gilmore OR Glenn locked up long term giving us s little more csp space. Still time for all that though!
