BuffaloBillsForever Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Plus, who's going to cover them now that Mario is gone? Eh, they make plenty of mistakes. You look smarter with one of the best Qbs ever. They make mistakes but unlike our front office they strike a MUCH better balance between present and future. The way the Patriots work is all about sustainability. Doug Whaley has no concept of that.

Simply switch the Qbs and keep the rest of the team the same. Who would be the SB favorites? Watkins, Woods, & Clay would be thought of as the best receiving core in the NFL. Martellus will not be happy the Patriots Pandora playlists in the locker room. You think the Pats are more a Train or Nickelback station?
boyst Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 interesting. i saw it on my phone and it said "martellus bennett traded to the pa"... i thought, "well, panthers have olsen, soooo...!@#$...." they still need WR's.
MattM Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 What was the comp? Swapping picks sounds like NE* may have even gotten picks back. Salary dump?
CommonCents Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 We are sitting at the red light in our custom Ford Escort and Brady and BB are rolling up in the Lambo. Oh well, drink our faces off and hope they break down before the finish line.

Add in McCoy to the Brady Bills and it's a wrap. Pats secondary = meh.

They won multiple SBs with Givens, Brown, & whatever dumpster dive guys they had. But hey Bills, do what good teams do. I want another legit TE. I love Hunter Henry from Arkansas. You do so much with multiple TEs. Edited March 16, 2016 by C.Biscuit97
boyst Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 They won multiple SBs with Givens, Brown, & whatever dumpster dive guys they had. those guys were vastly underrated, and the defense was superb. their defense now has no DB's, injury prone lb's, and a suspect dl.

If they had Tom Brady they wouldn't be able to afford Watkins and Clay without other major trade-offs to their roster. Silly hypothetical. That is the beauty of the Patriots. If Doug Whaley ran the Patriots they would end up like the Saints. The Patriots brass are the best at retaining and letting go assets for present and future benefit. Their balance to sustainability is unparalleled. Edited March 16, 2016 by BuffaloBillsForever

They play with one of the greatest Qbs ever who makes every wr better. This year, magically, Hogan will be a better wr. Brady doesn't throw deep that much anymore. Getting another TE worries me more than a wr. They are more than fine.
YoloinOhio Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 (edited) Reportedly the Bears have been trying to trade him for 18 months and no takers. No one was willing to give up more than a 4th? Edited March 16, 2016 by YoloinOhio

NorthBuffaloKid Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 That spot was supposed to be taken by Chandler, who was supposed to haunt us last year. We as Bills fans need to stop looking at the Patriots as the reason we are going through playoff hell. It's US. WE keep making mistakes at crucial moments. Let's hope we don't do so this year.
papazoid Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 double TE is so passe Belichick introducing triple TE #genius
YoloinOhio Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 PFT calls it a "calculated risk" to do the trade as he is grumpy unless he gets the ball and they obviously need to feed Gronk and hogan http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/03/16/patriots-taking-another-calculated-risk-with-martellus-bennett/
26CornerBlitz Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 @AlexGelhar Patriots % of plays run in "12" personnel (1 RB - 2 TE - 2 WR): 2015 - 42% 2014 - 39% 2013 - 19% 2012 - 41% 2011 - 54%

Penciling two losses has certainly hurt our playoff chances. We wouldn't have been good without the Pats in the division. But we certainly could've been dragged to the playoffs once or twice like the Texans.
