Canadian Bills Fan Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Man i love Kyle. 2nd time he has restructured to help out the Bills CBF
Kirby Jackson Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I'm sorry but I am not understanding the restructures at this point? Why are they so set on freeing up cap space for this year? Where do they plan on going with it at this point?

thebandit27 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 So they'll save $5M by cutting him next offseason instead of $6.5Mish

Where do they plan on going with it at this point? If they don't use the space they just roll it over, so kind of a "why not" I guess
BuffaloBillsForever Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Need to free up some space to sign Kerley. That would be egregious.
NoSaint Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Man i love Kyle. 2nd time he has restructured to help out the Bills CBF Unless he took an actual pay cut this isn't selfless, it benefits the player to take money today instead of waiting for game checks. Every guy on the roster would be down for that.
KD in CA Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 Man i love Kyle. 2nd time he has restructured to help out the Bills CBF He sees the writing on the wall and realizes if cut he's unlikely to get paid more than his restructured deal will pay him. I'm sorry but I am not understanding the restructures at this point? Why are they so set on freeing up cap space for this year? Where do they plan on going with it at this point? FA isn't over.
Kirby Jackson Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 If they don't use the space they just roll it over, so kind of a "why not" I guess I guess that you are right. I was just thinking that the dead hit will be bigger but if they roll over more space it kind of cancels out.
Dorkington Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I like these small moves. Allows us a bit more freedom filling in some depth this year. We still are on track for a decent amount of space next year.
Kirby Jackson Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 FA isn't over. There just aren't many guys left that would require the additional space. My thinking was that they are either trying to extend Tyrod or maybe make a trade? NoSaint makes a good point though. It probably is just that simple.

The dead hit will be bigger, yes. The main reason to restructure is to make needed space available for this year. If there is any reason to think Kyle may not be with the team next year, it wouldn't make sense. Sounds like they are making space to sign one or two targets.
Maury Ballstein Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 That would be egregious. The last 52,000 consecutive moves have been egregious. Just change the avatar to a thumbs down and put a couple ..... down to replace your posts. It'll save everyone time.

Maury Ballstein Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 I LOVED the drafting of Ronald Darby, so not quite. Nice ! Well I love Kerley. Everyone else will too after he's moving those chains for us

bigK14094 Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 The Bills have to clear enough cap space to pay their rookies.....draft picks and undrafted rookie free agent signings. Don't know that exact number, but I think it would take most of what they have left after this restructure.
