Kirby Jackson Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 must be the guy who used to be at UNC. Where's eball?? He already has "fall guy" experience That is him: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Blake_(American_football)
YoloinOhio Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 This is just Rex's sneaky way to try to get Coples to sign here
Reed83HOF Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 That is him: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Blake_(American_football) Sounds like he will fit right in with the Ryans... "In 2010, Blake resigned from North Carolina in the midst of an investigation into players' relationships with agent Gary Wichard,[4] who died of pancreatic cancer in 2011.[5] At the time, Blake was suspected of being an employee and receiving cash benefits from Wichard.[4] On March 12, 2012, the NCAA announced that Blake had received a three-year show-cause penalty, which effectively barred him from college coaching during that period. The NCAA determined that Blake had received personal loans from Wichard and failed to disclose them to UNC, and also misled NCAA investigators.["
YoloinOhio Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) Wichard was Spiller's agent too. How does he "fit in with the Ryans"? Edited March 14, 2016 by YoloinOhio
John from Riverside Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Whatever Rex...just get your guys in there.....no excuses after this year.
Reed83HOF Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Wichard was Spiller's agent too. How does he "fit in with the Ryans"? Just seems like a typical blowhard they would be around...
26CornerBlitz Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Whatever Rex...just get your guys in there.....no excuses after this year.
The Big Cat Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Just seems like a typical blowhard they would be around... What about accepting undo money makes him a blowhard?
26CornerBlitz Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 @RapSheet A statement from former #Bills DL coach Karl Dunbar regarding being relieved of his duties this weekend
YoloinOhio Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Just seems like a typical blowhard they would be around... Oh. Because of the show cause he got? Far be it from me to question the accuracy of Wikipedia but that paragraph is far from the whole story.
The Big Cat Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 @RapSheet A statement from former #Bills DL coach Karl Dunbar regarding being relieved of his duties this weekend A curious statement, to say the least.
26CornerBlitz Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 A curious statement, to say the least. Essentially it says "WTF Rex!?!"
YoloinOhio Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I wonder if it's a coincidence that he got fired on Dareus's birthday.
The Big Cat Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Essentially it says "WTF Rex!?!" Supposedly it comes straight from his agent. I wonder if it's a coincidence that he got fired on Dareus's birthday. I would have no reservation if Dareus got to **** can a guy on his big day as part of his contract.
JoeF Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) John Blake used to be my neighbor in Durham -- right during the time of the scandal...despite all surrounding him a really fun person to talk football with and genuinely cordial. If it means anything -- the Cowboys basically hired him the day he was available... Not sure I wouldn't do some of the same things he did for his kids at Carolina money wise. The academic cheating stuff and the over the top stuff with cars, etc. was clearly bad judgement. Edited March 14, 2016 by JoeF

Followed it pretty closely since it was around the same time as the NCAA investigation of Tressel. http://www.si.com/more-sports/2011/10/26/john-blake
Saxum Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Supposedly it comes straight from his agent. His agent is probably thinking "No problem, I still have my commission and he is still getting pad. Gives me plenty of time to look for next commission job."
