CSBill Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 My reaction: WGAS! And he forgot to mention our Defensive sucks, so a move Philly makes all the sense in the world. Heck, one more season with Rex and I might move there.
BillsInMaine Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I grew up on the ocean...I'll take lakes over the ocean all day.
Gordio Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) Who cares. Why do people get sensitive over this. Because why do people from around the country feel the need to continue to take pot shots at Buffalo? I honestly don't see this in any other city. It is like the people that move away from WNY feel the need to continue to mock Buffalo. You don't like it here,I understand, don't live here. We are doing fine without you. Pine Barrens Mafia Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I'm not worried about it. Philadelphia is, on the whole, a horrible place to live.
The Poojer Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Both are great cities, sure there are bad things in both places, but Buffalo is becoming a very vibrant area, Philly has been for a while, but they are also 2-3 or more times bigger than Buffalo. They both offer nice pockets of ethnic areas. There was no reason to denigrate Buffalo like that.

Not to mention, Atlantic City now resembles Hill Valley in Back to the Future 2 after Biff takes over. A bunch of run down casinos, vacant buildings, a sorry boardwalk, and a bunch of poor people laying all over the sidewalks.

The Poojer Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 i've said it before, Philly is a great area, so glad i landed here 6+ years ago, don't regret it one bit, but that was a cheap shot by the reporter. Both cities offer so much more than Chicken Wings and Cheesesteaks. I sent him an email telling him i would take the 7' feet of snow buffalo offers over the daily Schuylkill commute any day. No need to denigrate a city like that. Both cities rule!
Captain_Quint Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Who is this, Ursula from the Little Mermaid?
Jauronimo Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 (edited) The most offensive part of the article is its utter lack of anything even resembling humor or originality. Its such a safe joke. Its been done hundreds of times. Theres no outrage or uproar. We can basically count on a handful of these articles every offseason. If you're going rehash the tired narrative that no one wants to play in Buffalo, bring a new angle. At the very least, be funny. I can't wait for next week's article about how Nickleback sucks or millenials are whiners. Real cutting edge material. So edgy. Edited March 14, 2016 by Jauronimo
May Day 10 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 This "joke" is so played out and not relevant. I have lived both places and both cities have wonderful things to offer, as well as drawbacks. Also, how is Lake Erie 35 miles from Buffalo?
DC Greg Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 The city of Philadelphia smells like garbage. Literally, Philly stinks... horribly. There is a layer of disgusting grease covering mostly everything as well, including the people. Buffalo does not have those problems, thankfully. So at least there's that.

BmarvB Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 35 mile drive to lake erie? It's like 35 feet from downtown Where the hell was he driving from? 5-10 min (IF that) from almost anywhere in the city
Gordio Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I know...no one makes comments about Detroit, Cleveland......etc Alright, fair enough, Detroit & Cleveland people make fun of too.
