Thrivefourfive Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 @elway In other worlds...we upgraded at quarterback for a dumb draft pick. We had to do something, so we did it. Next step to come. At this time last year, on this board, Sanchez was a serious option. I'd rather be the Broncos than the Bills, in just about every way.
QuoteTheRaven83 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 LOL wow... Talk about a step down CBF Step down from Peyton Manning's 9 TD and 17 INT? I know Sanchez is bad, but I wouldn't say it's a step down
Pilsner Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Elway didn't say Sanchez will be the starter. He said he will compete. Perhaps Sanchez is being brought in to play the back up role.

nucci Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 He's a functional QB on a team with an elite defense. He thrived in that role in NY, for a time. It's also a scenario that the Bills hope to replicate with our current defense and QB roles. I think the Bills have higher expectations for Taylor...I certainly do....and at this point we do not have an elite defense

Sure, lots of people said he was a possibility simply because of his connection to Rex but I don't think anyone was seriously pining to bring him in. Clearly OBD wasn't.

BuffaloBill Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 How will Fitz win the SB now? Fitz is headed back to NY because he his finding out no other team wants him. This is a shocking move by Denver

Omit the word "serious", and I think the statements becomes un-debatable?
Big74Mac Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 This was basically that exact type of trade they had been talking out here and the names tossed around mostly were EJ and Sanchez. Looks like Philly beat the Bills to the draw on unloading there backup for something.
H2o Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 @MikeKlis Broncos acquire Mark Sanchez from Philly for conditional draft pick. Process has begun #9news #9sports @nflnetwork TRADE: Philly sends Mark Sanchez to the Broncos for a 2017 conditional pick. (via @RapSheet) Back to back baby..... Or ball to butt..... Whatever.
3rdand12 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 the offseason really has a grand sense of humor.
26CornerBlitz Posted March 12, 2016 Author Posted March 12, 2016 ESPN: Broncos trade for quarterback Mark Sanchez comes with low risk The cost to acquire Sanchez was low, and he gives Denver a viable, experienced option.
Saxum Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 A box of chocolates? Full quote is "Life is like a box of chocolates." Forest Gump. Christ, even Manning didn't do much and they won the friggin' Super Bowl. Manning did plenty, QBing is not all about throwing but making defenses react also.
rafter Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 LOL wow... Talk about a step down CBF More like a step sidewase. Manning was very Sanchez like last year.
It's in My Blood Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 I think the Bills have higher expectations for Taylor...I certainly do....and at this point we do not have an elite defense I do too. If Taylor was on alot of other teams, they'd of already anointed him as the qb of the future. But we're, spurned Bills fans, and we need to see the baby.
Marty McFly Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 @PFWeekly Mark Sanchez to #Broncos news seems crazy, right? Maybe not. Here’s why: http://shawurl.com/2gp5 Makes sense, Denver has him pegged as a back up and he wont have to win games on his arm, just has to manage the game and not run into anyones butts.
prissythecat Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 What can we get for EJ a soup can. Empty. This time last year, BF4E would have been all over this. Where is he hanging out now? Or did he finally give up his brave fight to prop up EJ.
