YoloinOhio Posted April 2, 2016 Author Posted April 2, 2016 @adamschefter Working out trade comp for Kaepenick was easy part. Tougher part is convincing Kaep to take less guaranteed $. It's why trade not yet close.
Beef Jerky Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 (edited) They just won it all with no qb. That doesn't happen twice. Edited April 2, 2016 by Beef Jerky
Billsmovinup Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 I don't know who people think the Bills would get to be backup that would be better than EJ and at the same or lower cost. Anybody!
26CornerBlitz Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 @AroundTheNFL Report: Colin Kaepernick deal held up by $4.9 million gap https://t.co/iKKo6lOZCl
ALF Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 I think 49ers will have to pick up part of his salary in a trade or they get stuck with the full guaranteed amount and a unhappy camper.
YoloinOhio Posted April 3, 2016 Author Posted April 3, 2016 (edited) I don't blame Kap for not wanting to give up money just to play for the broncos. It's not like he was cut. He earned that contract. He should get the gtd money from someone. Edited April 3, 2016 by YoloinOhio

3rdand12 Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 exactly. the broncos want him. maybe not more than kaep wants out of san fran but kaep knows he can get out if he wants. Kaep finally is using leverage. Revenge is a bithc eh SF ?
Beef Jerky Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Poor little weak armed Fitz is sitting alone wondering why no team wants him.
rfk Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 EJ drops back Goodwin streaks for the end zone and ....wow folks that 7th rounder for those two really paid off for the Jets
Mr. WEO Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Poor little weak armed Fitz is sitting alone wondering why no team wants him. Really? More likely his plan of sitting back and watching Kaep and RG3 go to other teams leaving the Jets with few options other than him or Geno is working just fine so far.
Doc Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Really? More likely his plan of sitting back and watching Kaep and RG3 go to other teams leaving the Jets with few options other than him or Geno is working just fine so far. We'll see. The Jets are pursuing Josh McCown.
YoloinOhio Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 We'll see. The Jets are pursuing Josh McCown. Hoyer as well
Mr. WEO Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 We'll see. The Jets are pursuing Josh McCown. Hoyer as well And how is that going? Both are under contract, no? First off, they both suck. Second, will they sign as starters for the 7 million the Jets are offering?
KD in CA Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 And how is that going? Both are under contract, no? First off, they both suck. Second, will they sign as starters for the 7 million the Jets are offering? If they are both under contract, why would either need to sign with the Jets if they were traded?
26CornerBlitz Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 @JasonColeBR Source: #49ers QB Colin Kaepernick will not take pay cut, nor will team pay off part of deal to make trade happen. No deal with #Broncos.
Doc Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 And how is that going? Both are under contract, no? First off, they both suck. Second, will they sign as starters for the 7 million the Jets are offering? It's going about as well as it is for Fitz. They all kind of suck but it seems things are on hold until Kaep's situation is resolved, which doesn't appear to be anytime soon. @JasonColeBR Source: #49ers QB Colin Kaepernick will not take pay cut, nor will team pay off part of deal to make trade happen. Mr. WEO Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 If they are both under contract, why would either need to sign with the Jets if they were traded? The issue with the Kaep "trade" is that he doesn't want to play for less money. Why would these guys want to be starter for 7 million? It's going about as well as it is for Fitz. They all kind of suck but it seems things are on hold until Kaep's situation is resolved, which doesn't appear to be anytime soon. Saw that coming a mile (high) away. Kaep isn't going to the Jets --for the same reason. They won't pay him either. That definitely isn't his plan. I hope Fitz goes back to the Jets the Bills would be 2-0 to start off the 2016 season. Of course it's his plan.
KD in CA Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 The issue with the Kaep "trade" is that he doesn't want to play for less money. Why would these guys want to be starter for 7 million? No sh-- Kap doesn't want to take a pay cut, nor does he have to; SF has to pay him or cut him. Regardless, what does that situation have to do with McCown or Hoyer? You think they'd rather be $5M backups than $7M starters? Either would be thrilled to be traded to the Jets and have a chance to compete for a starting job. And again, what option would they have if they were traded to the Jets other than to play under their existing contracts?
