26CornerBlitz Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Football IQ? You mean like running your pass route short of the 1st down maker and then getting tackled to leave the team with a 4th down. @MikeReiss 1 of main things Bill Belichick assesses in these visits is football IQ. Those who know WRs Rod Streater & Chris Hogan say they rate highly. @ChrisBrownBills Chris Brown Retweeted Adam Schefter Pats didn't have to go to these lengths. $1.67M tender was as far as #Bills could really go.
Helpmenow Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 At least he'll have a sniff of the playoffs with the Pats!
26CornerBlitz Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 @mikerodak Not matching the Patriots offer sheet will leave the Bills with about $5.6M in cap space. Slightly little more wiggle room for a FA signing.
metzelaars_lives Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 (edited) Why do people keep insisting that Hogan won't work out in NE because Scott Chandler didn't? What the hell does one have to do with the other? Chandler was clearly at the end of his career. Hogan clearly is not. I think it's pretty predictable that Hogan will work out well in NE. Screwball Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Good luck in NE Chris, you're not worth that money here.
BuffaloFan68 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Hogan is a breast when he doesn't have torn ligaments in his wrist. I really didn't want to waste a draft pick on a WR this year but now it seems necessary. I also still feel that Woods is being way under-utilized by being asked to block all the time. Perhaps we can get Easley back into the WR mix this year.

So he didn't work out here because Tyrod couldn't throw ? I don't get it
Helpmenow Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Especially with #12 throwing all that under stuff to him.

Seasons1992 Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 In all seriousness, why are the Patriots so obsessed with white wide receivers? There's like ten white wide receivers and most of them have played for the Pats at one time or another. They had double white tight ends last year, they had like the only white running back in football for a while; like seriously, what gives? Google Boston race relations.
Helpmenow Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 If you had chance to go to a contender playing with Brady would you?
metzelaars_lives Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 So he didn't work out here because Tyrod couldn't throw ? I don't get itAlright you officially just jumped the shark. I wouldn't say that he didn't work out here. I think for a 3rd WR on a running team he was serviceable at worst.
Dorkington Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 So he didn't work out here because Tyrod couldn't throw ? I don't get it Neither Tyrod or EJ run the quick passing game that a guy like Hogan works well in, imo. Tyrod and Brady have different strengths.

People are grasping at straws to reinforce their position that he stinks now that the Pats* gave him 4M per

metzelaars_lives Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 Google Boston race relations. Well aware. But again, I don't think they're racist. I just think it's more than a little odd that they have more white guys at the skill positions than any other team by far.

26CornerBlitz Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 @daringantt We really should have known a long time ago Chris Hogan was going to end up a Patriot, via @MikeGarafolo #grit http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2011/04/monmouths_chris_hogan_goes_fro.html Exactly Oh boy! Defensive coordinators around the league will be up at night trying to figure out ways to contain Hogan.
YoloinOhio Posted March 11, 2016 Author Posted March 11, 2016 To be fair on his salary, Belichik said he would be backup punter too
26CornerBlitz Posted March 11, 2016 Posted March 11, 2016 @SharpFootball BUF threw ball to him on just 11.6% of all pass plays, but NE is prepared to pay Chris Hogan $4M/yr, almost what they pay Edelman ($4.25M).
