YoloinOhio Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 (edited) Another Schwartzy fave. Leo already there today. @Jeff_McLane #Eagles reached out on another ex-Bills player who played for Jim Schwartz, per sources: LB Nigel Bradham. 26-yr old has 38 career starts. Edited March 10, 2016 by YoloinOhio
BillsFanForever19 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Good for both of them. I hope Schwartz and Phili sign them both.
BringBackFergy Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I always kinda liked Nigel...be a shame to see him go (although he may have been a weak link in our D, he knows the system).
Never NEVER Give-up Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I don't want to see anyone leave without a plan to replace them with an upgrade. Otherwise it's just another reason we tread water or run in place at 7-9 or 8-8. Every time someone leaves or is cut I ask myself, "Myself, did we get better?" If the answer is NO, I cringe. Mario leaving does not get us better - BUT - losing that salary and the change in attitude in the locker room is a PLUS. I just hope we get a complement to Jerry Hughes. Losing Bradham doesn't make us better. Hopefully we can resign him or find an upgrade.
Sandy McFiddish Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I think we would have paid him decent money if not for salary cap issues, I wish him well
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Losing him doesn't make us worse either. Bad system fit. It makes sense that he and Leo would go to Schwartz. Good fit there.

2020 Our Year For Sure Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Losing him doesn't make us worse either. Bad system fit. It makes sense that he and Leo would go to Schwartz. Good fit there. Yeah agreed. Bradham has considerably more value in a straightforward 4-3.

3rdand12 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Yeah agreed. Bradham has considerably more value in a straightforward 4-3. I think you are correct and Jim will make good use of with his speed if he indeed does get him

Jamie Nails Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 We will be fine if he walks, which is going to happen. Rex is going to bring in one of his guys and they are going to go LB early in the draft.
C.Biscuit97 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 He is miraculously going to turn into a good player again. Love revamping a top 4 defense 2 years later!

Sometimes players need to just develop and be better players than the previous year. Sometimes we have to realize a guy was playing at replacement level, and won't be as hard to replace as we think.
BuffaloBill Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Good move for him...he was a shadow of his Schwartz system self this past year...
NickelCity Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I've assumed he was leaving for awhile. Bad fit, and I honestly think we can upgrade that spot this offseason. Linebackers and a safety early please.

D. L. Hot-Flamethrower Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I HATE JETS RETREADS,,,they didn't win in NY and they won't win here.......come on , man...... IK Enemkpali and how many starters were former Jets? exactly ZERO. A popularly false narrative on this board. We are NOT loaded up with former JETS.
atlbillsfan1975 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 It may be system fit but it may also be that some of these guys just can not learn a new system quickly. From all accounts Rex's D was not easy to decipher. If a player has a difficult time learning new schemes he will struggle with the change. Nigel can hit like a Mac Truck and always liked the way he played. Too bad it could not work out.
YoloinOhio Posted March 8, 2016 Author Posted March 8, 2016 @kevinmassare At least if the Bills can't sign a UFA from another team, we will be getting a compensatory draft pick from Bradham. 4th-6th based on value.
