nucci Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 You really want to make this another Rex thread? better than an EJ thread
4merper4mer Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 @salsports Richie: Rex had a lot to do with him signing back. "Treats us like men. Guys love him. Love the environment" Incognito: "I've played for coaches who are scared of their own shadow. Rex is not that. ... I think we have something special growing." Good on Rex for this one. To be fair though, I'm almost certain that Rex is scared of Rob's shadow, but aren't we all?
K-9 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 @rapsheet The #Bills deal for G Richie Incognito is 3 years worth roughly $15M, source said. So, $5M per year. Not bad. I heard he was asking for $7m plus per for for years. 5 mil, 3 years --- sounds on the low-ish end == like a hometown discount. What do you guys think? I heard yesterday morning he was looking for $7m per over four years. I think his agent reached out to a few teams to gauge the market and came back to reality for a 33 year old G. GO BILLS!!!
Tenhigh Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Not until his ridiculous game plans cause this and everyone else's salary to be wasted money by giving up a trillion yards and a billion points a game. No I think we credit Rex for this. We blame Rex for the bad coaching job he did last season. Not even you two miserable fellows could make me unhappy today, this is good news, just enjoy it for a change!
papazoid Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 i'm going to assume ritchie quickly sniffed around league to gauge his worth.....no nibbles......took the sure thing before Jahri Evans did.
26CornerBlitz Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 neither side owed the other side anything, but well played on both sides. this is awesome! The Bills took a shot on him when no other team would and he obviously does feel some loyalty to the entire organization. Nothing wrong with that.
nucci Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Yes. How much more? 3 years $16M is a nice contract.......
eball Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 i'm going to assume ritchie quickly sniffed around league to gauge his worth.....no nibbles......took the sure thing before Jahri Evans did. You would assume incorrectly.
3rdand12 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Good on Rex for this one. To be fair though, I'm almost certain that Rex is scared of Rob's shadow, but aren't we all? LOL yes i am a little bit. i get scared when an eclipse occurs during the day
eball Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Now, if they can land Evans, that would be great. Not going to happen, not enough cap space. Evans was the fall-back if Richie talks fell through.
26CornerBlitz Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Now, if they can land Evans, that would be great. Doubt they can afford him.
Thurman#1 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Restructure Kyle, please. Kyle's cap hit next year is already $8.3 mill in the final year.
nucci Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 They can, if they extend Gilmore and Cordy. Probably prefer a RT instead
26CornerBlitz Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 LOL yes i am a little bit. i get scared when an eclipse occurs during the day Be careful before you get the hippo hurricane holler!
The Poojer Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 i agree, but there was nothing owed, this was a nice quid pro quo, wouldn't have faulted him for going somewhere else for money The Bills took a shot on him when no other team would and he obviously does feel some loyalty to the entire organization. Nothing wrong with that.
3rdand12 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 You would assume incorrectly. it was reported that teams were taking a look. we shall never nor nor should we care. let us not overthink and just bask in the moment of joy. Cheers everyone !
Doc Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Probably prefer a RT instead True but Evans would be cheaper.
CommonCents Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 How much more? 3 years $16M is a nice contract....... If he plays out the contract he will make more in the last 3 years of his career than he did in the first 10 years of it.
