Maybe he goes to the factory of sadness to be a caretaker while the Browns groom Goff or Wentz as their long term solution at QB.

Honestly, that would be sad and disappointing.

I would like to see him land on his feet somewhere with a reasonable chance of turning things around or helping out.

He should be Romo's back-up, maybe.

I think he'll be a low end starter somewhere in 2016.

anywhere he goes it will be as the starter IMO because of the money it sounds like he wants. He's willing to turn his back on the team that already handed him the starting job in 2016 to go after more money. So can't see Dallas, or anyone really, paying two starting QB salaries.

Rams, SF if they trade Kap, Denver if they can't sign Osweiler, I don't know who else will pay him starter $. Theoretically he could go to the Browns to start and mentor a rookie but they have McCown so would need to cut or trade him ... Which is possible considering he's a decent backup for Romo, Luck, TT, etc.

Jets fans are so funny, from TheGangGreen:

"If we don't resign fitz next season is not <beep>.

We'd end up with RG3 or Kaep."

Like winding up with RG3, who's a FA and can choose whichever team he wants, or Kaep, who isn't even available at this point, is a foregone conclusion.

A) I called it.

B) The Jets are in a bad salary cap position at the moment, arguably worse than ours.

After tagging Wilkerson they have $7 mill in cap space, and they have 3 defensive starters, their entire running back group and Fitz all as UFA.

With the Bradford and Cousins contracts out there, I don't see Fitz getting signed to anything with less than a $10 million cap hit this year. So maybe they can work some magic and sign him with some cuts or restructures, but they will be losing a lot of people.

C) the FA market looks bad. At this point, RGIII possibly getting cut is their best hope.

Suck it Jets!

Bingo. $12-$14M is low end starter money and the Jets can't afford it. The mid-day dopes on WFAN in New York were just discussing this and the potential of signing RG3.

They also said about how much they'd like Leodis --- "he also returns kicks!" -- lol

Throwing 3 INTs in the 4th quarter of a game your team had to win won't particularly endear you to the organization.

Sorry, Fitzy -- great guy, middling QB.

When's the last time we had a middling qb throw 31 tds? People want to give Taylor franchise qb money for 20 tds.

It's amazing the double standards folks have.

Seriously? People think TT deserves franchise money?

i think it's because contracts aren't given out for TD count only. Fitz's ceiling is well known at this point. TT has played one season. Different players, different upside. I am not one who advocates giving him 20 mill/yr right now but looking at both players I would rather sign TT long term than Fitz based on age, upside and what each has accomplished relative to their experience.

Different offensive philosophies yield different numbers. Fitz showed everything he is and isn't in the season finale at the Ralph. He certainly did not impress Jets' owner Woody Johnson. He's still a bum!

I'd take Taylor over Fitz without question.

You know what you have with Fitz.

I think Taylor has more potential. But if you ask who I think is a better overall qb right now, I'd go with Fitz. They ask Fitz to throw to win.

Yup, he failed the last game of the year. Still went 10-6 in a team most people thought was going to be bad. The pass Leodis picked is one our qb rarely attempts.

He and they were the beneficiaries of a softer than baby **** schedule. He's a BUM!

I normally think you're a good poster but you're way off with this. How much easier was their schedule than ours? We had to rally to get to 8-8. They and Fitz played really well until the last game.

True or false, if our qb accounted for 33 tds, do we win more games?
