Mark80 Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 (edited) So much for baseball failing. The highest then was Cal Ripken at an inflated rate of $16M. That's the salary of a 3rd starter these days. Currently 51 players set to make more than that this season. Edited February 25, 2016 by Mark80

KD in CA Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Michael Schumacher's been in a coma for two years and is still in the top 30. Amazing.

KD in CA Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 He's been out of the coma for awhile now. Yeah, so they said. Even if true you gotta assume he's in pretty bad shape though. Sad story.

MDH Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 It is, but from what I gathered, he was skiing off-trail. From what I remember, he went off piste to help a friend's kid who had fallen.
Doc Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 From what I remember, he went off piste to help a friend's kid who had fallen. I did a search and found no mention of helping a friend's kid.

PromoTheRobot Posted February 27, 2016 Posted February 27, 2016 You can roll your eyes at player salaries but they ought to make at least half of revenue since they are who people pay to see, especially since in sports like football players often sacrifice their health for our amusement. It's not like owners would make any less.
