At more than 240 pounds, Henry posted one of the top 40-yard dash times during the Tide's spring testing (4.50) while recording the second-best power clean on the team (345 pounds), a 440-pound bench press, a 500-pound squat and a 35-inch vertical jump.

Only three running backs ran better 40-yard dash times at this year's NFL scouting combine. Two weighed at least 35 pounds less than Henry. The other — 230-pound ex-Florida State standout Karlos Williams — is around 15 pounds lighter

The most overrate event on the planet.

Guys running on a track

QB's throwing against air

Guys bench pressing

Guys jumping up and down.

All of this matters! It has obviously proven itself time and time again, just look at how accurate the NFL draft is.

good points but they like to have measurables to compare etc

you end ignoring game film and up talked into Lackawanna's Mike Mamula no offense

Cody Core too...might have to go back and give him a look-see; maybe he'll end up with a drat-worthy grade.

Amherst native Glenn Gronkowski tells media the @NFLCombine. Says he's "not as fun" as @RobGronkowski.

Combine news of the weird

Arkansas QB Brandon Allen trying to increase hand size using massage therapy. His hand was measured at 8 1/2 at Senior Bowl, was now measured at 8 7/8 inches at combine thanks to massage work.

@espnstatsinfo

Jared Goff, Christian Hackenberg: Hands measured 9 in. at NFL combine. Of 21 1st-rd QB since 2008, only Ryan Tannehill had hands that small.

@tydunne

Sounds like Stanford QB Kevin Hogan had a good first meeting with the #Bills. Will have more from him up soon. One mid-round option.

@josh4reed

Stanford QB Kevin Hogan says meeting with #Bills went well. Enjoyed drawing up the Xs and Os with coaches. Could be a mid round steal

@jonTWCnews

Braxton says playing QB helps him read defenses now as WR. Guy ran 4.36 a few years ago. Will try and top here at #NFLCombine

Braxton Miller announced he WILL do ALL position and workout drills including the 40 yard dash

Goff's baby hands make me think the Browns won't take him. Hugh Jackson said hand size matters playing in the AFC North. Sashi said it doesn't, because analytics I guess. I actually think with this crew of QBs that 2 is too high for any of them. Give me Bosa instead.

Cardale has been hanging out with him too #twofittythree

Cardale is a solid 253. Saw him in Cleveland not long ago at autograph session. He's not like Fat Ben.

Great combine article

Miller's just one of a host of guys who should be in the running for the mythical Chris Johnson "King of the Combine" honors.

After talking to numerous general managers, personnel chiefs, college scouting directors and area scouts over the last week, here are the guys joining Miller on the starting 22 of my inaugural Spandex All-Star Team (listed in alphabetical order)
