Blokestradamus Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Have heard that Fred is considering a lifetime contract from http://canterburywoods.org/ Big, if true.
machine gun kelly Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Not sure why he wants to keep going. He may get a nod after a RB or two go down before or in the season and can contribute. The league minimum is high enough it would be some decent money for him, but he is entering his sunset. God bless him for what he dod for so many bad Bills teams. We love you Fredex!
FireChan Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 He's probably still a better option at RB than Boobie. Bring him back.
3rdand12 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 I am thinking he is either talking for the sake of getting back in Seattle or being foolish/hardheaded. Come back for a day and retire a Bill and take care of the family Fred : ) He's probably still a better option at RB than Boobie. Bring him back. do the Bills need 4 rbs? Can/ will he play ST i do not see boobie as Bill any longer. He cannot pick up the blitz or catch passes out of the backfield
jr1 Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 It's hard to walk away from the cash of even the veterans minimum

There's no way he's a guy that gets called if a RB or two goes down. He's the kind of guy you either value his locker room presence and bring him in or you never do. He's not talented enough to just use after an injury.
PO16FFS Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Bring him back. He deserves to be here and retire as a Bill. Boobie Effin Dixon is all I have to say!
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Can still block and catch. Some coaches still value these things like leadership and reliability over speed. I could see him snagging a job somewhere
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Don't blame him, he was slighted on the front end of his career, no surprise he wants to exploit every last chance in the twilight.

He started losing a step 2 seasons ago.
stinky finger Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Ummmm. Buffalo! Preemptively F all of you who disagree. I disagree DoorMatt.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Too bad he doesn't play special teams! He's probably still a better option at RB than Boobie. Bring him back.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 i do not see boobie as Bill any longer. He cannot pick up the blitz or catch passes out of the backfield Agreed. We need his cap space and roster spot more than anything he'll contribute. $1.15M savings, $167k dead money, so long, thanks!
Fan in Chicago Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000637586/article/fred-jackson-wants-to-continue-career-in-2016?campaign=Twitter_atn He's a 35 year old FA... Think he gets a contract anywhere? I think he should hang up his cleats and start coaching. I think he will be a good coach.

C.Biscuit97 Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I think he should hang up his cleats and start coaching. I think he will be a good coach. Besides the money, being a coach would suck. Good for Fred but I don't think he will be in the league. But I hope he keeps getting them checks.
K D Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 I'm the biggest Fred fan there is. Can't imagine he makes a roster. He's good in pass protection but he's painfully slow and RB is the deepest position in the NFL. Too many young guys available to use up a roster spot on him imo. He should just walk away. Would hate to see his career end as a camp cut in NE or elsewhere
todzilla Posted February 23, 2016 Posted February 23, 2016 Ummmm. Buffalo! Preemptively F all of you who disagree. I disagree very strongly, so f me I suppose. Nostalgia hires and signings have not worked out well in the past. Let another team take a chance or do like Jared Allen and ride off.
