GunnerBill Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I'd take him at $1.5mill or thereabouts. No more than that. He is massively overrated and totally unreliable.
Saxum Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I think IF he is signed to contract it should be after week 1 where if he decides to flake out and not play when he has been medically cleared he can be cut and entire contract is not owed him.

Pats really wanted him last year.
Saxum Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 that would be good for us, but another team might be willing to sign him sooner. Pats really wanted him last year. That is fine for Bills risked too much and got burned last year. It really appeared he sat out pouting for some games last year.
3rdand12 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 it depends on how cheap they can get him. I agree that they want/need that type of player. They can either sign another one in FA which would cost more because the WR group is so weak, or draft one. If they draft one, WRs usually need some time to adjust to NFL coverages, route running, etc. So if they think that he is healthy enough to play a good portion of games and will sign for very cheap, I would say to do it. But that's a big If. I'm not too worried about his MIA act. His teammates seemed to support him at the time and as far as we know he didn't get into any issues prior to that. I think it really depends on that hip issue Yolo. Can he play anymore? If so, you sign him cheap with incentives. Hopefully even he understands that. He spoke so highly of the Bills and Sanjay Lal i think Buffalo would be his choice. If he is wise he has already taken enough money and maybe owes Buffalo a little somethin somethin. Like i said I would be delighted to get him back. TT sure liked him too. If we can get the guy for dirt cheap, I'd welcome him back. Analyze games, and play him sporadically, optimizing his impact on our season. Ideally we'd draft a high upside guy in the late to mid rounds, or find someone in FA for cheap as well. I think Woods/Hogan are both solid players, but we need another playmaker at WR sometimes. agree. Hopefully last year was when the lightbulb went on for this front office....your 2nd and 3rd WR's need some level of durability. How many times must we repeat this process? Get guys in here that can handle playing in the NFL and stop flirting with track stars that have a durability rating of 0. I don't even offer Percy the minimum. you are a cold cold man. That is fine for Bills risked too much and got burned last year. It really appeared he sat out pouting for some games last year. That is your impression. And even i thought that. till after the fact that his hip injury never cleared up and then the knee. I do think the Bills took a huge monetary risk and lost out. I cannot imagine that occurring again! well maybe i can. 16 years and all that

Manther Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Completely. I also would not be surprised if they sign him to a new deal at a modest price . . . presuming he wants to play, is healthy, and is willing to do so. I have a feeling that for a while, possible, years he hadn't wanted to play. And, just does enough to get paid and sign new contracts. JMO. So, I don't care how modest the contract I don't think he wants to play and I don't want him taking up a roster spot or taking up the staffs time.
Nanker Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 If we can get the guy for dirt cheap, I'd welcome him back. I dunno man. They voided on his contract. That sounds nasty like. Might leave a bad vibe with him.

Might leave a bad vibe with him. and he is the sensitive type. could stress him out enough to get a migraine and then his hip starts aching. and then he starts to rethink his commitment. and then he counts his 5.9 million and laughs
I'm Spartacus Posted February 22, 2016 Posted February 22, 2016 Football is a hard hard business. It's hard to catch a football in the NFL.
