thebandit27 Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Played for Kromer in New Orleans, followed him to Chicago. Lost the starting LT job after being injured early last season, and was released. 31 years old; has been a starter for the past 7 seasons. Could be an economical option to add competition at RT. Thoughts?
Buffalo_Stampede Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 Possibly. There are a few Kromer guys out there that could upgrade the right side. Also some cheap Rex guys out there that can upgrade the D. It's a good free agency for Buffalo once we figure out the cap casualties.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I wouldnt mind him for the right price at RT CBF
YoloinOhio Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I read that he needs shoulder surgery. I think he could be a frugal option once healthy, even if only as a depth player. It depends on what the situation is with Seantrel's health and if CK ever develops. I think Mills is backup material only.

Thoughts? ive touted him as a kromer success. I think his play at its best was a bit lower than some of the accolades but still stellar for a mid round LT. at this point, age/health would really be the big question. hes a good, solid player.... but it may be "was" and not "is" at this point.
apuszczalowski Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 With all potential FA pickups, it's going to have to be asked "will they come cheap" Unless they move some more salaries out, that's the only way they will be signed NY guys. I think Whaley may have to look more at trades and getting creative if looking for upgrades.

This year is telling in regard to his skill level with a tight budget. Plenty of FA options this year to consider
John from Riverside Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 I am setting my expectations that we will Resign our own players Wait until far into the free agency period before we start signing guys....and will be on minimum deals Put a lot of focus on our draft When it comes to right tackle we might have to go with what we have (and a draft pick)
Mike in Horseheads Posted February 19, 2016 Posted February 19, 2016 We may need a LT also depending on what they do with Cordy.
Saxum Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Ask Rex. According to some on TSW Rex makes determinations on who is hired not Whiley.
3rdand12 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 (edited) We may need a LT also depending on what they do with Cordy. don't even go there, Mike. Maybe they could move him to guard Edited February 20, 2016 by 3rdand12
