KD in CA Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Good; one less to worry about. These guys are getting smarter. Save your money and get out while you still have your health.
K-9 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Good; one less to worry about. These guys are getting smarter. Save your money and get out while you still have your health. Yep. I think we will see a trend of more players getting out earlier than they would have previously. GO BILLS!!!
Mark Vader Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Seems like he was always hurt. He was in the league for 8 years? Seemed much shorter than that. This is probably why.
Augie Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Yep, good for him. Hope he was smart with his money.
Big Turk Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Yep, a lot of these players view this as a job, not something they have a passion for. If they have the opportunity to retire early with plenty of money in the bank, I think we are going to see more and more of these guys doing it. The ones who "love football" will still be playing until they can't anymore, or until faced with serious life/injury consequences...
26CornerBlitz Posted February 17, 2016 Author Posted February 17, 2016 @AlbertBreer As of now, I'm told Patriots LB Jerod Mayo doesn't plan to coach, though he's certainly capable. Has business interests he'll dive into.
Chilly Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Hopefully this extremely smart decision sets the example for the rest of his Patriots* teammates. Quickly.
Augie Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Hopefully this extremely smart decision sets the example for the rest of his Patriots* teammates. Quickly. Yes, ALL of them!
BobbyC81 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 So what happened to Brandon Spikes? He was a great run-stopper in his 1 season with the Bills. The Pats released him after it was determined his car was involved in a hit-and-run but did he get suspended again? No other team signed him? He's only 28
truth on hold Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 Good guy, good player. Wish him the best.
