The Big Cat Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 shame, i used to work about 600 feet from this monstrosity: http://chicago.curbed.com/archives/2015/01/27/chicago-bear-matt-forte-paid-over-4m-for-this-humongous-river-north-mansion.php
Manther Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) Good run for Forte!! That's a solid 8 years. Edited February 12, 2016 by Manther
Blokestradamus Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 When people talk about a "complete back", they mean Forte. Parting ways makes sense for both parties, Bears certainly need to find a receiving back though. I still think he's got plenty left and I hope he doesn't end up in Foxboro.

Didn't Jeremy Langford average close to 13 yards/catch for the Bears last year?
Canadian Bills Fan Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Didn't Jeremy Langford average close to 13 yards/catch for the Bears last year? Ya Langford will be the #1 guy next year He was awesome when he filled in for Forte and even split carries with him when Forte came back and he still put up good stats CBF
Blokestradamus Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Didn't Jeremy Langford average close to 13 yards/catch for the Bears last year? With limited usage, yeah. Whether he can sustain a Forte-like workload remains to be seen. Didn't do it much in college either.
boyst Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Always get him Fantasy football and you'll never go wrong. He's always available in 3rd or 4th

What's up with the Chicago real estate market?

Good post. Exactly what we saw with Karlos Williams last year- great change of pace back but when he got his crack at 20 carries a game, he wasn't nearly as effective. This is why LeSan McCoy is so valuable. I really hope this thing gets brushed under the rug.
CardinalScotts Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 very good players who has averaged 315 touches in 8 years on the wrong side of 30.

BmarvB Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Forte still has gas in the tank. he'd love running behind the Cowboys O-Line.
The Big Cat Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Holy cow...a place like that for less than $450 a square foot?? What's up with the Chicago real estate market? Don't confuse it with places like NYC, DC or SF.
Mr. WEO Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Don't confuse it with places like NYC, DC or SF. I wasn't. In NYC, that place would get at least 4000 a SF. I just wasn't aware that it was that cheap in such a big city with a mature housing stock and new units as well. That's fire sale pricing.

It's consistently been a fraction of the cost of comparable cities in the U.S.
