Steve Billieve Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Like DeMarco Murray ? Like a previous poster said most of the "cap savings" attributable to trading away Shady got spent on another high priced FA RB. Yeah I think the trade could be really really bad for us and still be way better than it was for the Eagles.
KDS73 Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) Yeah I think the trade could be really really bad for us and still be way better than it was for the Eagles. First person the Eagles signed after the trade was Byron Maxwell. CB from Seattle. Makes sense because that's where they needed the most help. Not exactly a lockdown corner, but he was the best available on the market. Couple of days later they signed both Ryan Matthews and Demarco Murray on the same day. So there you have it. For those of you hell bent on determining who can claim the coveted trade victory trophy, keep your eye on what they get out of those 3 guys (and Kiko) compared to what the Bills ultimately get out of McCoy. McCoy 2015 if he'd stayed in Philly 2015: $9.75 million in base salary, of which $1 million is fully guaranteed, a $250,000 workout bonus and $250,000 in per game active roster bonuses ($15,625 per game). If McCoy is active for all 16 games, his 2015 cap number will be $11.95 million. Maxwell contract Byron Maxwell signed a 6 year, $63,000,000 contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, including a $6,000,000 signing bonus, $25,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $10,500,000. In 2016, Maxwell will earn a base salary of $8,500,000. Maxwell has a cap hit of $9,700,000 while his dead money value is $13,300,000. In 2015 he had a cap hit of 8,700,000. Oh and he sucks Demarco contract DeMarco Murray signed a 5 year, $40,000,000 contract with the Philadelphia Eagles, including a $5,000,000 signing bonus, $21,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $8,000,000. Marty McFly Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 He looked terrible in the game where he actually had to play the whole game. I think gillislee is the change of pace guy tbh. Karlos makes his own hole. that can be disputed. wasnt it the Giants game the Karlos had to be the lead back cuz McCoy was out? He did not put up 3 down back numbers against a soft defense. the whole team played bad that game.

Marty McFly Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) I think Karlos was concussed in that game Yes, he got concussed during the game but still cudnt open up those lanes without Shady as his counter point. Hopefully Gillislee and Karlos can hold it down while Shadys suspended. Edited February 13, 2016 by Marty McFly
Buffalo Barbarian Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Jesus. McCoy beat someone up, he didn't kill anyone. He'll miss (my guess) 3-4 games and, barring injury, will likely be very effective in the rest. Twelve games of McCoy is better than 16 games of Alonso in any season on any team. A lot better. Nope
