lowghen Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) Sources are saying four males have assaulted two off-duty Philly officers Sunday morning around 2:45 a.m. Both officers were hospitalized, no arrests have been made but McCoy is one suspect being targeted in an investigation. This is not a good start for some offseason news...Original Source: http://6abc.com/1191784/ Original article by ESPN: Poorly done video by someone at the club: WKBW article showing cell phone video of what looks to be McCoy... Hypothetical salary cap consequences article from WKBW IF the Bills cut McCoy - HYPOTHETICAL 02/11 - McCoy has not been charged despite reports that an arrest warrant is imminent. Apparently the DA and police are still investigating. Quote taken from NBC Sports: Bills running back LeSean McCoy is waiting to find out what, if any, criminal charges he’ll be facing as a result of a fight at a Philadelphia nightclub over the weekend. According to a report from Mark Schwartz of ESPN, those charges aren’t likely to come on Thursday. Schwartz, quoting a “high-ranking Philadelphia police official,” reports that prosecutors want to be thorough in their evaluation of the police report and other evidence before making a decision about how to proceed. Reports on Wednesday indicated that police recommended to prosecutors that McCoy be charged with aggravated assault when they handed the case over. Two off-duty police officers went to the hospital after a fight over a bottle of champagne with four other men, one of whom is believed to be McCoy. ESPN also reports that attorney Jack McMahon told them that he is no longer representing McCoy. McMahon said that McCoy will now be represented by Larry Krasner, another Philadelphia attorney, in matters related to the incident. Edited February 11, 2016 by lowghen
KD in CA Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Oops. Do we get cap relief for his suspension period?
Canadian Bills Fan Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 One person put TWO cops in the hospital? Wow CBF
Peter Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 One person put TWO cops in the hospital? Wow CBF If I were the cops, I would not want to "cop" to that.
YoloinOhio Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 One person put TWO cops in the hospital? Wow CBF there were reportedly 4 NFL players involved
Peter Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 there were reportedly 4 NFL players involved From which teams?
Chandler#81 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Welp, 0-4 to start next season. Thanks Shady. Hopefully we'll rebound after his inevitable suspension with a 6-6 finish, 6-10 season. That way we can buy into next years' off-season of hope..
YoloinOhio Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 (edited) From which teams?i don't know. One was Curtis Brinkley. Apparently Brinkley grabbed a bottle of champagne that these off-duty guys thought was theirs, and they were not happy. Things ensued. Not sure what McCoy did or didn't do at this point. Kind of surprised no one was arrested! Edited February 8, 2016 by YoloinOhio
BuffaloBillsForever Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 I blame Whaley for making this terrible trade to acquire him.
MarkyMannn Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The place is called the Recess Lounge. Members only high end night club. But judging by the age and pics of the kids in there, membership must be a $5 door charge
thebandit27 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Well, this has a bad look to it, and it will definitely be reviewed by the Commissioner's office if nothing else. Hopefully, Shady was only guilty by association...that's probably the best possible outcome at this point.
Kirby Jackson Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 there were reportedly 4 NFL players involvedI am hoping that Brady, Gronk and Edelman were the other 3
Just Jack Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Any other confirming reports? I've seen one other article that just repeats the op link. It did say a statement from police would be coming out later today.
NorthBuffaloKid Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 The guy is talented, but may not be worth the trouble. Remember the party that he had for women only? Remember the way he acted like a little brat refusing to deal with his old coach? He is seemingly a Prima Donna.
fridge Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 Any other confirming reports? MIke Gillislee has confirmed.
