Most every job on the planet today relies upon the internet in some way, shape, or form. It's quickly becoming a necessity (if it's not already a necessity) to compete in the modern world. To paraphrase the late, great Carlin: It's because the feds are trying to cut in on their action. Don't forget that they work hand in hand on a lot of issues behind the scenes.
