Friday Mock Draft Day!

They're mock drafts....for the purpose of sheer folly and entertainment until the real draft rolls around. There's not a chance in hell that half the guys in my last draft will be there. So what? It's interesting to see what is available when you pick and how it changes based upon the board selected. None of the so called "experts" come close to getting even the 1st Round correct. Enjoy it or ignore it. No biggie either way.

And commenting on the players and the mock drafts and where people may or may not go is half the fun.

Did not over invest in OL for depth. Got two very good players there who can contribute if needed. Got Canady who is a bit of a project. Dillon and Henry were very good value picks, Henry would help us a lot.

@ the 5th round pick I was torn between WR Daniel Braverman (WMU) who is a special teams ace and can play WR inside. I see him coveted by someone like the PAtriots at slot. Dadi Nicolas @ OLB is there and could be an outside rusher we need. But Maurice Canady is there and we need depth at CB. I would have chose Braverman to keep him away from the Pats, if I could.

A lot of offense here...but, I would be thrilled iwth this draft. Short up the Right side of the OL immediately. Cravens fits us well. Higgins and Braverman both would offer something to our roster opening day. While Braverman may not be on the team in 5 years he is going to impact whatever team he plays on with his effort; Higgins instantly works in with Woods.

I still cannot find a DE worth drafting in any mock.

As much as we need defensive help, WR is #1 need IMO. We lost Hogan. If God forbid Sammy got hurt, our wideouts would be Woods, McRib, Hankerson, Salas, Boykin. Woods is a borderline #2, and no #1. If Treadwell fell to us, it would be tough to pass. He was a top recruit, and top receiver in this class. Michael Thomas would work here too. Both Thomas and Treadwell would provide the big wideout Whaley covets. And if we choose to go WR in first, Whaley himself stated that defensive front 7 talent is available through round 5 in this defense top heavy draft

My plan is pretty simple...Build Defensive Depth...Get a QB by the 4th Rd...Hope a decent WR falls to the 3rd...I was pretty happy with this Draft...I think Rankins teamed with Dareus would be scary...So I jumped at the chance to take him at #19...I wanted a DE/OLB Pass Rusher and even though I doubt he'll be there at #50 I took Correa in this mock...

I wouldn't be upset with this draft. I went with Kevin Dodd instead of Darron Lee at 19, which was kind of a reach. Cravens in the 2nd was nice and he would fit fell in the Bills defense. Peake, IMO, is underrated and would challenge for the #2 WR position. Hall is a very physical press corner, doesn't have great speed but he would give the Bills some depth and could become a FS with the uncertainty of Williams. Reader is the NT REx would be looking for. Brown is a good ST guy and would give the Bills depth in the middle. Beavers and Hogan are both developmental guys but Beavers would probably be in the mix for the RT position.

I tried one with Dodd at #19...No matter how many times I run a mock in this Draft I love the first two picks while concentrating on the D-Line...This Draft is crazy top-heavy with D-line talent...There is going to be a REAL good player available at #49 this year...I don't think there is any doubt about it... B-)

I think if by some miracle the Bills came away with Dodd and Jones after the first 2 rounds, I would consider this to be a GREAT draft regardless what they did in the later rounds.

I had an almost all buckeye draft by coincidence. Decker. Thomas, Perry, Jones, the DT and one of the LBs with a safety I think it was.

It's crazy how like guys like Fuller and Cravens are always around in rounds 2-4 and yet there are a bunch of "experts" that consistently have them both going in the 1st. Nonetheless, these things are fun

They're a blast and I've been well beyond addicted since last years Draft!!!

Here is my latest, I used CBSsports rankings and there is absolutely no way our draft would actually look anywhere near this

19: R1P19
DT A'SHAWN ROBINSON
ALABAMA - Moving to a 3-4, I want big uglies up front, Marcel would be happy about this one
49: R2P18
DT VERNON BUTLER
LOUISIANA TECH - I actually like Butler a bit more than Robinson, obviously this is a pipe dream. But Kyle will be gone soon and now we have a solid D-line for years to come
80: R3P17
OLB KYLER FACKRELL
UTAH STATE - Edge Rushers needed
117: R4P19
ILB SCOOBY WRIGHT III
ARIZONA - I liked Zach Thomas, so I like Scooby, my analysis is thorough, original and ripped directly from the draft website
139: R4P41
K ROBERTO AGUAYO
FLORIDA STATE - I'm tired of missing extra points and this kid is sick. Free up a roster spot by getting rid of Gay and Carpenter
156: R5P17
WR CHARONE PEAKE
CLEMSON - Yea, he's not lasting this long. He is one of the few WRs with actual speed in this draft. He reportedly has tiny hands, maybe he could run for president one day
192: R6P17
QB KEVIN HOGAN
STANFORD - The smokescreen says he is the most Bills-ready QB in this draft. I picked him because half of you dress like hulkamaniacs at the stadium anyway
218: R6P43
CB KEIVARAE RUSSELL
NOTRE DAME - It's my last pick and I went with a CB from Notre Dame because I think he could turn into a decent player, but also because I am highly biased. I think he could start as a dime CB and push to be a nickel. Not sure about putting him on the outside.
