I used the new "Composite Board" in which there weren't any weird quirks (ie.. Wentz dropping to 19)

I made a few trades but I won't go into details on all of them

19: R1P19 - OLB LEONARD FLOYD - GEORGIA
- I have been gravitating more an more towards Floyd lately. He seems like the most versatile LB available who can play inside and is big enough to play Edge in 3-4

39: R2P8 - WR JOSH DOCTSON - TCU
- I traded up here to get Doctson. I have him ranked as my #1 WR so I doubt he'll fall to RD2 but if he does and we don't draft him in RD 1 I would love to see us trade up to snatch him up

84: R3P21 - OLB JORDAN JENKINS - GEORGIA
- Jenkins is similar size to Floyd but from what I read he isn't quite as athletic. However.. I did read that he is great at setting the edge so I think he'd be the perfect understudy to Manny Lawson

118: R4P19 - DT WILLIE HENRY - MICHIGAN
- From what I've read this guy would normally be a 1st or 2nd round DT in most drafts but he gets lost in the shuffle. I've also read that he can either play NT or DE equally well so

140: R4P41 - OT SPENCER DRANGO - BAYLOR
- Probably not starting material.. could fill the Kraig Urbik swing backup guard role... also has experience at OT

157: R5P17 - DT D.J. READER - CLEMSON

- Similar to Willie Henry.. I think most years in the past Reader would be Day 1 or Day 2 but not this year. Seems like he is limited to playing a NT role due to his massive size.. but that is exactly what this D needs. Imagine him at NT plugging up the middle.. with Dareus and Meatball on the edge set free to raid the backfield. Then you have Bryant and Willie Henry to rotate in and out.

177: R6P1 - QB KEVIN HOGAN - STANFORD

- With all the talk and hype and us visiting his pro day I would think that where there is smoke there is fire in this case. Why would we be fake posturing for a guy who is consistently ranked in the lower tier of QBs by most analysts?

219: R6P43 - OLB ERIC STRIKER - OKLAHOMA

- special teams contributor.. best case scenario can fill in Nigel Bradham role

I could go for this draft. Fits a bunch of needs with quality players who fit the system. My OL pick, however, would be Martin from ND, who has played center and guard at ND. Not sure if Drango has experience at center?

I will have to look into Martin a little more... with Urbik gone we really do need a good backup center...

The way the talent is disbursed in this draft I think sellers are going to be very disappointed with the trade-down offers.

Lot's of GM's like McCologhan talking about wanting to trade back for more picks.

But it's going to be a buyers market.

I'd be shocked if Denver traded their #1 , #2 and #3 just to move up to #19 overall this year......they might be able to get to #12-15 with that much ammo.

19: R1P19

OLB DARRON LEE

OHIO STATE Even though he is a tad undersized, he is just as athletic as anyone in the draft.. He should be our answer for a coverage LB, which in my opinion is our biggest need on defense. Also has some good potential in a situational pass rush.

49: R2P18

DT VERNON BUTLER

LOUISIANA TECH Versatile lineman, which is perfect for rex's system. Hopefully Marcel can avoid playing too much NT this year (which i may have covered later in the draft), but being able to shift all three DLs (Kyle, Marcel, and Vernon) to every position can be the answer to the puzzle on the front.

80: R3P17

OLB SU'A CRAVENS

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA I look at Su'a as a prototype hybrid SS/OLB (Very accurate comparisons to Deone Buchanon a couple years ago). Could be the answer to at least limiting Gronk/Bennett which is a huge matchup every year. Also provides depth behind for SS.

118: R4P19

WR KENNY LAWLERCALIFORNIA Decent height (6'2"), but somewhat thin. Caught a touchdown every 5.3 receptions, so can be a huge threat in the redzone. Good route runner, even though he isn't much of a burner. For the fourth round, he has good value with his upside.

140: R4P41

DT D.J. READER

CLEMSON This is who I think can be an immediate starter at NT for us this year. He is a complete animal at 6'3" 327, with surprising agility for a big man. Started the season away from the team for personal reasons, but came back and had a new fire under him. If we didn't have so many talented DTs, this would have been his breakout year. He has already played nose guard, along with some 3-Tech. Him between the combo of Vernon, Kyle, and Marcel would be a sight to see.

157: R5P17

QB CARDALE JONES

OHIO STATE Even though his name is popular, I think he is the most underrated QB in the draft. He is more of a Pro-Style QB, but JT just fits OSUs offense better. To me he seems like the (project) with the highest upside by far. Also, in the 5th round, there is no reason not to take a chance on this guy.

193: R6P17

OT JOE DAHL

WASHINGTON STATE Seems to project as a guard in the NFL, which could actually work out better for us depending on how Miller works out. He did gain about 5 pounds and grew an inch between the Senior Bowl and the Combine, so maybe he could try both RT and RG. Either way, he showed well at the Combine and seems like he could at the very least be good depth for the right side of our line.

219: R6P43

RB KENYAN DRAKE

ALABAMA I know, I know. RB doesnt seem like too much of a need right now, but Kenyan didn't get to show much at Bama because of the Workhorse ability in Henry. What I did see was a RB with great vision and speed, along with a strong return game while also contributing to the other phases of Special Teams.

I felt the need to draft two D-Lineman and two LBs, just to guarantee we have depth in both postions. Also, all four of those picks would contribute in all different ways, and could shore up our defense right away. Lawler can really work out for us as a potential #2, and would allow us to constantly switch the positions of each WR.

nice! I would be so excited if this was our draft. I have to say since you are a Clemson fan that I could easily find a way to draft a Clemson player in every round this year. So many talented prospects at so many positions.

I've been a bit hesitant on Darron Lee at 19 but regardless of draft position would love to see him in a bills uni.

I was thinking the same when the players were falling to me! If we passed on Vernon in the first and we could snag him in the second that would be the ultimate steal.

And I honestly feel the same way. Not to get over confindent, but if we chose Shaq, DJ Reader, Charone, TJ Green, or Jayron I would be happy (Obviously in the appropriate rounds). Also, if you haven't looked into him yet, BJ Goodson (ILB) is going to be a similar player to Stephone Anthony, who went in the first round last year. If we snagged him I would give Preston one more year to try to take control, and if he didn't, I would be confident giving the keys to Goodson. I feel like they are similar players but Goodson seems to be more athletic. He was another guy who showed out at the combine and pro day.

do you think Tony Steward has any potential who we took last year? I recall he was a big time recruit out of HS. Seems a bit injury prone.

I've seen the draftniks pretty high on TJ green. They think he can play safety or corner. Rex might not be able to resist.

Its tough to predict with Tony, because when he was on the field for Clemson he was a fantastic playmaker. He did have injury problems pretty much his whole career with us, but the only major injury was his torn ACL. As bad as it sounds though, I was constantly waiting for him to get hurt when he saw the field this year, which unfortunately was the case. If he can somehow get rid of his injury problems, the sky is still the limit when it comes to his talent. And yes, coming out of high school I saw him walking around campus a man amongst boys.

TJ just has great size and is a freak athlete, because you don't see too many safeties at 6'2" 209 that can run a 4.34 forty. One weakness that I noticed often while at the games was the angles he took to try and make a tackle. Between him and Jayron, they both were the main problems of the big plays we gave up. I do think with his speed that he can easily work on those angles and become a great all around safety. When it comes to cornerback, his size would be ideal and he has good man coverage skills, but i think those traits could really boost his potential as a FS.

good insight - thanks. I am really rooting for Steward from a personal standpoint after what he endured this offseason. Hope he perseveres.

Composite board, ignoring anyone that I feel has very little chance to be there:

YOUR PICKS
1: R1P19
DE KEVIN DODD
CLEMSON
Versatile lineman that can play anywhere from the 9-tech to the 4i and provide pass rush
2: R2P18
OLB SU'A CRAVENS
USC
Ideal fit as a Will 'backer that can match against TEs and backs, plus provide run support
3: R3P17
OLB JORDAN JENKINS
GEORGIA
Edge defender that can take some snaps in place of Lawson and eventually take over in the Sam role
4: R4P19
S JUSTIN SIMMONS
BOSTON COLLEGE
Athletic center-field player with ball skills and aggressive mentality
5: R4P41
WR KEYARRIS GARRETT
TULSA
Big target with toughness and a penchant for making big-time catches; can be a red zone threat as a rookie
6: R5P17

RT prospect with size
8: R6P43
QB BRANDON DOUGHTY
