B-Man Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 CRAZY BARRY’S IS HAVING A HALF-OFF SALE! “Bank of America gets half off its Justice Dept. settlement…by giving millions of dollars to liberal groups approved by the Obama administration:” The bank has wiped about $194 million off its record $16.6 billion 2014 mortgage settlement by donating to nonprofits and legal groups. Thanks to little-known provisions in the settlement, the bank only had to make $84 million in donations to do that. The bank wasn’t exploiting any loophole. It’s a key part of the deal the Justice Department offered to get it to settle in the first place. For every dollar the bank has given the nonprofits — none of which were victims of fraud themselves — it has claimed at least two dollars off the settlement. The deal ensured the Obama administration that a certain part of the settlement funds would go to friendly liberal groups, bypassing the normal congressional appropriations. Among the groups receiving the money were Hispanic civil rights group the National Council of La Raza ($1.5 million), the National Urban League ($1.1 million) and the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America ($750,000). * * * * * * * * “This is nothing short of a shakedown and another example of how the Obama administration is rigging the system to benefit their political allies. Instead of directing settlements directly to victims or returning the money to the U.S. Treasury, President Obama set up a slush fund for community organizers and other liberal activists. This is outrageous,” said Rep. Sean Duffy, R-Wis., chairman of the Financial Services Committee’s Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee. It’s quite a racket – the 2008 financial crisis was caused by the Clinton administration massively expanding Jimmy Carter’s Community Reinvestment Act, forcing banks to give high-risk loans to those who had no business owning a home, in a textbook example of Reynolds’ Law run amok. Now in its wreckage, Bank of America is shaken down for billions by the same party that created the CRIA. And of course, no one in the MSM will ask Hillary about her husband’s involvement in the debacle. .
B-Man Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Pinocchios with Pensions by Kevin D Williamson The State Department lied to the American public to sell the Iran deal. The State Department acknowledged this lie, in public, during a press conference. The State Department destroyed video evidence of its having done this, and then admitting doing so. None of this is in dispute. Nobody is getting fired. Jen Psaki, the witless Pippi Longstocking of the American diplomatic project, admitted under questioning from James Rosen of Fox News that the State Department had lied — flat-out — about the fact that secret talks had been under way between the United States and Iran over the Islamic terror state’s nuclear-weapons program. Psaki attempted to justify this lie, insisting that “diplomacy needs privacy,” which is true enough. But this wasn’t private, or a question of discretion: The facts were out there, and the State Department lied about them. Is it any wonder that Mrs. Clinton, to whom deception is an instinct, felt so at ease in the State Department that she went to extraordinary, illegal lengths to conceal her communication as secretary of state from the public and from ordinary oversight?{snip} Eighteen minutes of deleted audio got Richard Nixon impeached. Eight minutes of missing video? Well, diplomacy and all that. From Lois Lerner’s weaponizing the IRS on behalf of Democrats before the 2012 elections to Mrs. Clinton’s toilet-server shenanigans to gross abuses of prosecutorial power among Democratic state attorneys general, the lesson of the Obama years is clear: If you are close enough to power, you can do anything, and there is never a price to pay. That video is our property, and the event it documents is of some concern to us as a people, inasmuch as some of us (not many, but some) retain sufficient self-respect and resent being lied to, with malice aforethought, by our own employees, and might be inclined to make a public issue about it in this election year. But of course that gets harder to do when the evidence is destroyed, which is why somebody in the Obama administration — and it would not be too hard to find out who — destroyed that video. Get six months behind in your child-support payments, and you’ll go to jail. Lie about conducting secret negotiations with the world’s leading sponsor of terrorism as it goes about working to acquire nuclear capabilities, and then destroy the evidence of your lie, and what happens? We won’t even bother to make public who the guilty party is. Yes, of course they know. Lois Lerner, the IRS inquisitor who targeted the president’s political opponents for official harassment, is currently enjoying a fat federal pension and got some nice bonuses before she went on her way. Whoever destroyed the video will probably get the same thing. Every now and then, a politician will start a sentence by saying, “The American people will not put up with . . . ” whatever it is that the politician wants to abominate. But the fact is, the American people keep proving over and over that they will put up with anything. Read more at: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/436171/state-department-video-lies

Imagine the uproar when President Trump (I just threw up a bit) does the same thing and makes them give the money to the NRA, Citizens United, The American Family Association, and the Family Research Council. Suddenly the media will have a Youuuge issue with the practice.
B-Man Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 I didn't want to sully the "off the Wall" thread about the Champ passing with this Follow President ObamaVerified account@POTUS He shook up the world, and the world's better for it. Rest in peace, Champ. Biggest thing in the picture is Obama, and he comes off as the smallest.
IDBillzFan Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 He'll be remembered as the first girly-man President. What could you possibly mean?
Nanker Posted June 6, 2016 Posted June 6, 2016 The shot of him struggling to do lateral lifts with three pound weights was a hoot too. He's leaned way over and jerking his upper torso to help him get momentum to life the puny weights.
B-Man Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 HERE’S A CLASSIC CASE OF BUREAUCRATS COVERING UP FOR EACH OTHER: When an Environmental Protection Agency work-crew accidentally unleashed a three-million gallon flood of dangerous waste from Colorado’s Gold King Mine in August 2015, it turned the Animus River yellow for nearly a week. That river provides drinking water for millions of people in three states and the Navajo Nation. Federal officials promised an “independent” review of the disaster by the Army Corps of Engineers to determine its cause and who was responsible for it, not least because the flood included 880,000 pounds of toxic materials like lead and arsenic. But when the review came out, it was full of gaps, most notably concerning who made the critical decisions that resulted in the flood. Ethan Barton, one of the determined reporters with the Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group, has been digging for months seeking the full story about Gold King Mine. His findings are being published this week and what has become clear is that officials at EPA caused the disaster and they then joined with compatriots at the Department of the Interior (which is a part-owner of the mine, oh by the way!) in a bald-faced coverup. The review was ultimately conducted by Interior, not the Army Corps because, Barton reports today, “Army Corps, however, had already developed potential topics to probe, and its lead reviewer was highly experienced in similar investigations, documents obtained by TheDCNF show. DOI’s final scope for the Gold King Mine review, in fact, nixed crucial topics Army Corps planned to examine, including the root cause of the spill.” House Committee on Natural Resources Chairman Rob Bishop has been closely following Barton’s reporting and the panel’s investigators have compiled a mountain of evidence about the events that led up to Gold King Mine. Don’t be surprised if a full-fledged congressional investigation is in the offing. Barton has also exposed EPA’s $3.3 billion worth of secret slush funds
Nanker Posted June 8, 2016 Posted June 8, 2016 (edited) Yeah, I posted about this upstream in the thread... no pun intended. It's edited to cobble together the chunks of video that cover a longer time span and several miles of the river. But you clearly see at the beginning the idiots™ that commit the foul deed. Edit: This is a newer version which shows Wilfed Brimley explaining whut they just done dun. The orginal video I posted above is included at the end of this little EPA beauty. B-Man Posted June 11, 2016 Posted June 11, 2016 (edited) YOU WILL BE MADE TO CARE: Federal Officials Push To Urbanize Suburbia Under New HUD Regulation. In its final months, the Obama administration has set up a strategy to bring inner city living to the suburbs by deploying three federal agencies to dictate to states and local communities how to set up schools, housing and mass transit. It’s all part of a federal push to reduce economic and racial segregation in favor of diversity. The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) expanded the reach of its Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) rule to two other federal agencies: the Department of Transportation and the Department of Education. AFFH is a rule established by HUD last year that requires any nationwide locality that receives block grant funding from the agency to rezone neighborhoods based on income and racial prerequisites. There is always an underlying motive of consolidating more power. I'm just learning to look for the mechanism or vehicle being used to accomplish that goal.

B-Man Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 BIGOTRY RAMPANT INSIDE AGENCY OBAMA CREATED TO FIGHT FINANCIAL BIAS: Employees of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau are coming forward in droves talking about widespread racial, gender and ethnic discrimination within the workforce there, according to Richard Pollock of the Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group. Things are so bad in one key division of CFPB that workers there refer to it as “The Plantation.” One in four of the black, Asian and female CFPB employees surveyed by the Government Accountability Office said they had been discriminated against by managers on at least one occasion. “Now five years old, CFPB was intended as a model for government when Obama joined with one of his top appointees, Elizabeth Warren, in designing and proposing the bureau in 2010. Warren later became the progressive Democratic senator from Massachusetts. The bureau was created under the Dodd-Frank Act, and among its purposes was to root out discrimination in the financial marketplace,” Pollock reports. In its five year existence, CFPB has done little other than compile two huge intrusive databases containing billions of bytes of information about individual Americans financial position. Because it was created as part of the Federal Reserve, the CFPB is beyond the financial and regulatory oversight of Congress. “You have a lawless agency when it comes to its own employees,” attorney David H. Shapiro, a former U.S. Attorney who for the last 40 yeas has represented individuals in civil rights law and discrimination cases, told Pollock. https://pjmedia.com/instapundit/236768/

CFPB has been an abomination that has done far more harm than good to the average American. It's a classic case of lowering the standards to protect a fictional problem that leaves nearly everyone else worse off. Remember when banks used to offer overdraft protection to most of their customers? Say goodbye. Thank you, progressives.
