keepthefaith Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 DOJ Replaces 'Criminal' With 'Justice-Involved Individual' In an instance where we all need to stop for a second, sit back and think about the government monster called “political correctness” that has been allowed to grow, this episode of PC Culture is being brought to you by the good people at the Department of Justice (DOJ). Keep the word “justice” in mind. Apparently the DOJ has been phasing out the use of the word “criminal” to describe well, criminals. On the DOJ website the newer term, “justice-involved individual,” can be traced back to 2009. However, the term has seen more and more daylight over the last couple of years. http://www.mrctv.org/blog/doj-using-term-justice-involved-individual-instead-criminal Even U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch got in on the action: Lynch can’t even say that youths have broken the law. Instead she uses the phrase, “young people who have become involved with our justice system.” . Yes because becoming involved with the justice system is simply an unfortunate occurrence. A little bad luck for those individuals.

EasternOHBillsFan Posted May 6, 2016 Posted May 6, 2016 That's what happens when you allow the religious far right to dominate the conversation when it comes to Christianity... no wonder those who associate with faith are dwindling in numbers. Instead of focusing on compassion, love the neighbor, and charity, they focus on abortion, same sex marriage, and Planned Parenthood. It's embarrassing to Christians everywhere that the far right has made Christianity out to be intolerant and ignorant... truly sad.

It's embarrassing to Christians everywhere that the far right has made Christianity out to be intolerant and ignorant... truly sad. Some would argue this is what happens when the anti-Christian far left dominates the conversation by insisting taxpayers should foot the bill for Planned Parenthood to extract still-living fetuses so they can snip the spine before removing body parts they sell for a profit. Some would argue that this is what happens when the anti-Christian far left insists that a adult man in a dress should be allowed to pull out his dick in the same bathroom as a little girl. Some would argue this is what happens when the far left yells that we must boycott Chick-Fil-A because the owner is a Christian who believes in same sex marriage, but still continue to pay for things with PayPal, who does business in many countries with very, very strict anti-LBGT policies. Some would argue. Not you, I'm sure, because it's easier to just think it's some far right Christian nutbag instead of the ever-present far left anti-Christian nutbags.

B-Man Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 What? It's just Anti Christian gibberish. Meanwhile, FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORMED: A pregnant woman walks into a bar: You must serve her in NYC. NEW YORK (AP) — A pregnant woman shows up at a New York City bar and wants to go in and order a drink despite health warnings against consuming alcohol while expecting. Should the tavern serve her? It's against the law to refuse, under city Human Rights Commission guidelines released Friday. They center on expansive protections for pregnant workers but also say mothers-to-be can't be kept out of bars or denied alcoholic drinks just because they're expecting. "Judgments and stereotypes about how pregnant individuals should behave, their physical capabilities and what is or is not healthy for a fetus are pervasive in our society and cannot be used as pretext for unlawful discriminatory decisions" in public venues, the new guidelines say. But what if she orders a 32-oz Coke?

B-Man Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Obama: 'You CAN'T Build' That, 'You Didn't Build That,' 'You Were Lucky' Pres. Obama doubled down on his infamous “You didn’t build that” claim when he declared “You can’t build” that and then told college graduates they gained their degrees by being “lucky.” In remarks about the economy on Friday, Obama chastised those who think they’re self-sufficient and don’t need government: “You can't build your own metro system. You can't build your own highway. You can't build your own airport. And so we have a specific problem with under-investing in infrastructure.” Then, on Saturday, Pres. Obama told Howard University graduates that his “pet peeve” is people like them who don’t credit luck for their success: “And that means we have to not only question the world as it is, and stand up for those African Americans who haven’t been so lucky -- because, yes, you've worked hard, but you've also been lucky. That's a pet peeve of mine: People who have been successful and don’t realize they've been lucky.” The remarks are redolent of comments Obama made to business owners when he told them that, if they have a successful business, “You didn’t build that.” But, in fact, you actually can build your own airport. John Travolta did – it’s attached to his house. And, there are plenty of other private airports: here’s a list of some of the more popular ones. And, as Obama’s grade school English teacher would surely point out, you actually “can” build your own metro or highway – you’re just not allowed to, under penalty of law. Still, if you legally could build your own metro or highway, odds are it’d be less expensive, more efficient and safer than anything the government builds, funds, or manages. http://www.mrctv.org/blog/obama-you-cant-build-you-didnt-build-you-were-lucky

B-Man Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 One Thing Government Is Great At: Making Improper Payments This is the time of the year where I wonder why the government continues to pay out billions of dollars in improper payments and does nothing to fix the problem. Seriously, how can we tolerate this? In 2013, improper payments for the highest risk programs totaled $106 billion. In 2015, that number was $137 billion. Who is accountable for this government failure? The government has become so big that no one is accountable, oversight is impossible, and no one seems to care at all. It is worth noting that the federal government’s figures are only estimates, and there is reason to believe the government intentionally underestimates the amount of taxpayer dollars lost to fraud and bureaucratic ineffectiveness. For example, three of the largest programs in terms of improper spending amounts are all related to health care. Medicare Fee-for-Service, Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C), and Medicaid combined for $86.5 billion in improper payments in fiscal year 2015. However, Malcolm Sparrow of Harvard University, a recognized expert in health care fraud, argues that federal auditors underestimate the volume of improper payments resulting from fraud. He believes fraud could account for as much as 20 percent of federal health spending, which would considerably increase the improper payment figure reported by the government.Read more at: http://www.nationalreview.com/corner
