Dorkington
I figured it'd be better to have a topic dedicated to it, rather than continuing to derail the Trump thread. Dorkington
I ought to make an idiot compass. First question: "Political compasses are accurate. Strongly agree/agree/..." They don't need to be accurate necessarily. I think it's more interesting in the relative sense of comparing with your peers.

shrader
It needs a neutral option because on a lot of the questions, I just didn't care. I wound up at (-0.75, -2.26). I was hoping for 0,0.

I don't feel "strongly" about any issue. But I've been accused of being a righty. My position on many issues is "meh". I'm a candidate in touch with the people! keepthefaith
Disagree. Then we can agree that you're among the less informed. The porn industry hasn't endorsed anyone yet.
Deranged Rhino
Then we can agree that you're among the less informed. Fair. I just don't think there is a universality to politics or personal leanings. Smart people, educated people, can have wildly different politics when it comes down to it. Doesn't mean one is more informed than the other -- though sometimes this is true it's not a universal truth. There are plenty of well informed, smart people whose politics I disagree with. Personal political preferences by and large are formed from experience and information -- neither of which are consistent from person to person let alone culture to culture. TakeYouToTasker
Link Of course it's flawed, you dope. My point wasn't that that specific website was the end-all be-all. I was using it as an example of the x/y axis political spectrum, and how it accounts for all political leanings; and explaining why a simple left-right linear spectrum model was useless.
