KD in CA Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Apparently not. Whistle blew so Hillman stopped Yet another idiotic rule change. Thanks NFL. Good job 'getting it right'.
Buffalos#1Fan Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Same reason you run out a pop fly. I think that's a little bit different
Rob's House Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I think that's a little bit different The scoreboard says otherwise.
Andrew Son Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Same reason you run out a pop fly.Yep, except it not at all the same. Whistle blows the play is dead. It'd be like running out a pop fly after it was caught Yep, except its not at all the same. Whistle blows the play is dead. It'd be like running out a pop fly after it was caught
NoSaint Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Yet another idiotic rule change. Thanks NFL. Good job 'getting it right'. I'm sure we could go back and find epic threads and trending hashtags on Twitter from whatever game a guy fumbled, a recovery made but a whistle was blown.... It strikes me as the NFL being reactionary and making a poor choice. Which is kind of their thing.
nucci Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Same reason you run out a pop fly. You are taught to play until the whistle.....no comparison to a pop fly
NoSaint Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 You are taught to play until the whistle.....no comparison to a pop fly Except in this case Hillman has almost certainly been told that on swing passes he should always collect the ball on incompletions if it's even remotely close.
nucci Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Except in this case Hillman has almost certainly been told that on swing passes he should always collect the ball on incompletions if it's even remotely close. Probably true but whistle blown ends the play
Mark Vader Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Damn gopher head tripped him up, otherwise that's a touchdown.
