Fan in Chicago Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 NFL DC: Kaepernick with Chip Kelly makes SF 'straight Freddy Krueger' Of course the DC would want to remain anonymous. Wouldn't want to proclaim his ignorance to the world. Kap is inaccurate and no amount of'scheme' or coaching will overcome that on a season-long basis. I am guessing said DC may be Dave Wannsteadt
GunnerBill Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Of course the DC would want to remain anonymous. Wouldn't want to proclaim his ignorance to the world. Kap is inaccurate and no amount of'scheme' or coaching will overcome that on a season-long basis. I am guessing said DC may be Dave Wannsteadt I don't think inaccuracy is his biggest issue - his issue is processing information. If the defense gives Kap exactly what he is expecting he is dynamite. If he sees a coverage he is not prepared for he makes bad decisions.
YoloinOhio Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) I actually think Gabbert could be decent in Chip's offense Edited January 23, 2016 by YoloinOhio
26CornerBlitz Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 @JasonColeBR #49ers interested in former #Browns DC Jim O'Neil. Former Browns coach Mike Pettine has told some people he wants to take year off, for now
GunnerBill Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 The 49ers DC job would be a bad place for Pettine to end up.
TheFunPolice Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I think the Cardinals will drop off and the 49ers will have a real shot to win 9-10 games
ganesh Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I think the Cardinals will drop off and the 49ers will have a real shot to win 9-10 games Why? The Cardinals are pretty talented.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 26, 2016 Author Posted January 26, 2016 @MaioccoCSN Source: Coach Chip Kelly hires former Browns DC Jim O’Neil to same position with 49ers. http://www.csnbayarea.com/49ers/source-49ers-hire-oneil-defensive-coordinator/ @RapSheet Ian Rapoport Retweeted Matt Maiocco The last coordinator of the hiring cycle
TheFunPolice Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 (edited) Why? The Cardinals are pretty talented. Carson Palmer has been a key for them and he isn't getting any younger. Without him (he has an injury plagued history unfortunately) or if he drops off in his play in 2016, I could see them having an 8-8 or 7-9 type year. Edited January 27, 2016 by TheFunPolice
26CornerBlitz Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 Fresh start for Kap? Will Colin Kaepernick be the 49ers' starting quarterback in 2016? Niners owner Jed York weighed in on Kap and his future in San Francisco.
