DC Tom Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 It's actually too bad. They had pretty good reporting.
B-Man Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Does Al have to give his $500 million back ? . Edited January 13, 2016 by B-Man
Nanker Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Not sure he ever got it to begin with. Last I heard he was suing them for the dough. Imagine. Being swindled by a hoax. Unpossible in America... especially to a billionaire.
Azalin Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I used to think that they were probably biased simply because of their name, but it was suggested to me that that wasn't the case, that they were pretty good. I began to switch over to Al Jazeera from time to time to see for myself, and came away thinking that they were a lot better than I had previously given them credit for. I believe that it was their name - Al Jazeera - that kept a lot of people from tuning in, presuming a bias on their part. Sort of like if TASS or Pravda had opened US news agencies back in the 70's.

This is a pretty logical assesment

They waited a while, called it Russia Times and it worked.

Nanker Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I think the One America News network is decent.
DC Tom Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I think the One America News network is decent. Until it became a paid subscription, Naked News was my favorite. Great combination of coverage and lack thereof.
Nanker Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Until it became a paid subscription, Naked News was my favorite. Great combination of coverage and lack thereof. Which is an undervalued quality these days. Of course the Left construes that as a filter to shut off any inconvenient truths and story lines that don't agree with the agenda.
KD in CA Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I guess the last ditch attempt to create the Manning-PED controversy didn't pull in enough viewers.
B-Man Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Peyton Manning sarcastically comments on Al Jazeera shutdown http://www.9news.com/sports/
