LeGOATski Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 seems like Sashi gets final say but more from a "I'll sign off on that" position and not actually putting it together Yeah. This is going to work perfectly.
YoloinOhio Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 @josinaanderson Source on the #Browns and Hue Jackson: They pressed him."
TheFunPolice Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I really thought he was going to the 49ers. Things will get interesting now. The Gase and Jackson dominoes were holding things up, IMO. Mike Mularkey is getting the Titans gig (inexplicably). The Bucs look like they are hiring their OC. I'll bet a lot of those things happen quick. On another Hue realted note, IMO the Bengals OC gig is going to be sought after. Andy Dalton really took steps forward this year before getting hurt, so whoever gets that gig will be a big name in the HC derby a year from now.
eball Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 good for Hugh, and the control is a big factor. Johnny Football better pack his bags. Hugh doesn't tolerate anyone or anything that goes against what he says. Hugh Jackman?
Chuck Wagon Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 seems like Sashi gets final say but more from a "I'll sign off on that" position and not actually putting it together I would be really surprised if Jackson is taking the job if he has to defer to Sachi when it comes to football decisions.
LeGOATski Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I would be really surprised if Jackson is taking the job if he has to defer to Sachi when it comes to football decisions. Be surprised, then.
YoloinOhio Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 So even the Browns didn't want Marrone
Blokestradamus Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 I'm curious how Jimmy is going to Brown this situation up. Great hire on paper.
TheFunPolice Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Hue defers to nobody. I wouldn't be surprised if he walked into the room and his first statements were "Hi. I'm Hue Jackson. You all work for me now. Sashi, coffee. MOVE! Baseball guy, go grab me a garden salad for lunch. Jimmy, hit the road, we are about to talk football in here." LOL It was a lot of fun following Hue's power struggles in Oakland.

TheFunPolice Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Poor Hue. Actually Poor Haslam. If things don't go well Hue might fire him and take over as owner. LOL Ok, I'm done.
YoloinOhio Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 @adamschefter Browns and Hue Jackson have reached agreement, per sources. Press conference to introduce him later today.
Big C Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Hugh Jackson is the guy who went after Mark Davis when he was Raiders HC LOL Hopefully he learned his lesson from his power play there. Well the Raiders hopefully learned from the horrible seasons that followed.
TheFunPolice Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 i have heard he has a Hue-ge ego I actually like Hue because of his enormous ego. He's fun to watch and follow as a sports fan.
YoloinOhio Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 (edited) Probably got this written into his contract @MikeGarafolo Wonders never cease! Well, good news for Browns and they never have any good news. What happens to Johnny Football with Hue? @mikegarafolo You ask good questions. I was told Hue made it clear he'd want to move on from Johnny. Edited January 13, 2016 by YoloinOhio
26CornerBlitz Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 @MikeSilver Getting ready to go on @nflnetwork to talk about the Cleveland Browns' impending hiring of Hue Jackson
YoloinOhio Posted January 13, 2016 Author Posted January 13, 2016 @albertbreer Another win for the Browns on this one: My understanding is new EVP Sashi Brown came off very well in the process of pursuing Hue Jackson.
TheFunPolice Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Well the Raiders hopefully learned from the horrible seasons that followed. Oh, I'm not saying they were right to send Hue packing at all. Hue basically told them: listen to me. I know what is best, so everyone just do exactly what I say, and we will win. It's not gratuitous. His heart is in the right place.
