Give a Letter Grade to Obama Presidency

B-Large

Recommended Posts

Of course, it's too early to really tell. Perhaps he has inspired a generation of minority children to strive for greater things. How do you measure that? I think he is a great communicator, he is inspiring, was not president during especially trying times like the Great Emancipator was or FDR, the racial backlash against a Black president sure handicapped him politically and he is competent. I'll give him a B+ for now

Please explain the racial backlash you mentioned and how did it handicap him politically?

What grade would you give Jimmy Carter's presidency?

C. Was not a great leader. Did get the hostages back alive, though

Older white Americans angry at a black president. Tea Party, etc.

As a liberal, I have mixed feelings on Obama.

I give him a C+

My criticisms: He's been ineffective in getting both sides of congress to play along. The ACA is a bandaid, when we need something like a single payer system. Like many politicians he flip flopped on gay rights until it became fashionable to support. The sloppy drone strikes have not made us any friends in the middle east, and likely made our standing in the area worse over there. We still haven't really invested in public infrastructure. Middle and lower class incomes have largely stagnated.

Positives: ACA is at least a step in the right direction, there's more young people and poor people with access to some sort of care at least, but still, see above. He's done a good job (eventually) putting pressure on society to support equal rights, and has been a visible supporter of better treatment of minorities and women. Being that I'd prefer us pull out of the ME at this point, I'm glad we haven't gone full boots on the ground in Libya and Syria. Unemployment numbers are going in the right direction.

I'm sure I could go into more on both sides, but I'd get torn a new one here, like usual

Obama is no better than Carter. "Racism" is worth one and a half letter grades?

He won a second term, so obviously the voters did not agree with you. And Obama was just a better president. Don't remember a Democrat running a challenge to Obama's nomination in 2012. Your question makes no sense

Who was president when the hostages were released?

Carter had been president minutes before...

What has Obama done that makes him any better than Carter?

I dig the way morons like you insist on one hand that Americans twice electing Barack Obama was a mandate for his leadership, and yet when he is exposed as having the leadership skills of a retarded monkey, it's only because the same Americans who elected the first black president TWICE suddenly don't like black people.

Do you have even the slightest idea of how stupid that sounds?

He won a second term, so obviously the voters did not agree with you.

Case in point.

Again, you can't insist that twice electing a black president is a mandate for his leadership, and then argue that the reason he's a bad leader is because the people who elected him don't like black people.

But sure...call me a retard. Because when you know you've been proven wrong, that's all you have left in your fannypack.
