This is exactly what I thought when first reading this.

Next offseason both will be on a beach with an umbrella drink saying thank you Terry and Kim.....

Of course. I assume it's an educated guess. What led you to guess this would be true?

Just a hunch that a guy who's had decent success with LBs over last two decades would be an improvement over a guy who was a film coordinator just a few years ago, as long as we're slamming nepotism. Edited by GG

April is no prize either. But Rob Ryan lorded a historically bad defense and was rightly fired. He has no business being here. Given our problems at LB, common sense would tell you that if Rob Ryan had value, he would have been hired by the Bills as soon as he was available.

He's been fired as DC 4 times. He's a crappy coach. He would be unemployed off not for the gullibility of the Bills owners.

Now your take doesn't make sense. The Bills should've hired him two months ago if he was any good?

I don't mind it. I mean Rex's system has to be taught and if his brother helps do that - I can buy into that.

Well he's now been hired by seven different franchises, several of which won multiple Super Bowls. So someone must think he knows something about football. Belichick kept him for 3-4 years. I think he's a buffoon bigger than Rex but he knows something about football. Maybe he's much better as a position coach than DC. There are all kinds of guys like that.

No, if he was worth hiring, they would have then. This is simply Rex telling the Pegulas he wants them to do him a(another) favor.

You don't think Rex Ryan genuinely believes that his brother knows football and can help the team? Whether it's true or not is not the question.

Rex Ryan is a total moron, so it is the question.

It frees Rex up to focus on other things and possibly details, while Rob helps implement the complex defensive scheme. This is fine folks...

Rob Ryan SUCKS at implementing this scheme.
