Tell that to the guys manning the trenches. He didnt have to deal with an elite D. Just kick a friggen field goal that was shorter than an extra point. reddogblitz Posted January 12, 2016 Share Posted January 12, 2016 To get off the kicker game for a moment, I thought Minnesota's strategy was interesting. I noticed this also in another game of theirs I saw. They are extremely conservative on offense and depend on great D play. Looked like what Rex was saying we'd be doing. Ground and pound, ball control, good D. Doesn't matter how good their D is though. If you can't score more than 9 in the playoffs, you have ZERO chance as we saw. I just looked. They were 16th in points scored this year and 5th in least points given up. We were 12th (shows how bad our D was). in points scored We were 15th in points given up.
