EmotionallyUnstable Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Blair Walsh was money for three field goals and all of their offense today. However he will only be remembered for the one he missed
starrymessenger Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 What with yesterday lots of agony of defeat going on
ExWNYer Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Wow! What a way to to lose... Edited January 10, 2016 by ExWNYer
dave mcbride Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Not only the laces but the ball wasn't straight either. More on the holder than the kicker I think. Yeah, but it still has to be made, right? It's a chip shot.
3rdand12 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 We can all feel for Minnesota fans. That being said, I am very happy for Fred i was rooting for Fred and the Vikings, very confusing game for me
Big C Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Yeah, but it still has to be made, right? It's a chip shot. Looks like he maybe turned his body too much.
dwight in philly Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 so much for home field advantage so far
dave mcbride Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Didn't he make 47 yard laces-in kick earlier?
Big C Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Didn't he make 47 yard laces-in kick earlier? He did. 43 I think.
3rdand12 Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 He did. 43 I think. yep he got the yips and rushed it
Rubes Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 (edited) Not only the laces but the ball wasn't straight either. More on the holder than the kicker I think. Lots of kickers don't want the ball straight up. They often tilt it a bit. We can blame the holder, of course, but I'd be willing to bet he was coached not to play around trying to rotate the ball, given how cold and slippery it was. Especially since the kicker did fine with the laces earlier. Edited January 10, 2016 by Rubes
1st&ten Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Seahawks luck out again. Can't stand Pete Carroll, hope the Panthers crush them up.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Didn't he make 47 yard laces-in kick earlier? What was interesting when they showed it was he kicked under the laces on the earlier one. The ball went perfectly straight. This one he kicked on the laces and it immediately went left. Plus, again, the ball wasn't straight. I don't know enough about kicking to know whose to blame more. Probably both of them. But the laces seemed to clearly affect the kick.
YoloinOhio Posted January 10, 2016 Author Posted January 10, 2016 Gut punch for Vikes fans. How sad. Also i can't stand Seattle. Fred or no Fred.

stevestojan Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 Sports Psychologists rates just increased. Completely mental error. Laces were in but it was a chip shot. The yips indeed.
