BuffaninATL
Burfict deserved the flag no doubt at all, but I thought Brown put on a whale of a flop there. Bungles are ridiculous, at least you can't blame Dalton for this one. dude, a flop is the last thing Brown did on that hit from Burfict, It looked for a brief second that he was knocked out cold with his eyes rolling back in his end
starrymessenger
KD, you have to be kidding if you are stating that 'Coach' Porter was out there to "escort an injured player " He was doing NO such thing, he was out there trying to cause a problem. . . . .and he did He used to do exactly that when he was a player. Peesy hasnt changed. No excuse for the Bungles shooting themselves in the foot tho even if it is a high intensity emotional game
ExWNYer
The Steelers are the antithesis of the Bills. Get into the playoffs only because the Bills win a meaningless game for them then have a playoff game gifted to them by the sheer stupidity of the Bengals. Does anyone think that if the roles were reversed those things happen for the Bills? Not a chance in hell. BTW, Cincy...you're a disgrace.

Observer
Dont disagree. I doubt Vontaze ever knows what hes doing. But Dion has a point. Looking at it in slow mo it was a glancing blow and it can be argued that he was actually turning away. If he really wanted to permanently disable Brown he certainly could have. Burflict LEANS his shoulder in to make sure to hit Brown's head. Clear penalty--not even close. Probably draws a flag 90% of the time. Burflict being Burflict, it certainly draws an easy flag tonight. Edited January 10, 2016 by Observer

If you get to see the replay again take notice of Burflict's path before and after he hits Brown. Instead of going straight past Brown he circles through him. It appears to me that he leaned in as he was going past Brown.

Burfect didn't want to permanently disable Brown Burfect didn't want to knock brown out of the game Burfect didn't want to take Brown out for even a single play When Brown walked off the field, Burfect was there to put a hand on his shoulder and apologize Burfect was running on pure adrenaline when it happened. The Personal Foul and susbsequent timeout were meant to diffuse the situation and left everybody calm down

Not relevant to the penalty or outcome. When you play out of control, this is what happens.
/dev/null
Not relevant to the penalty or outcome. When you play out of control, this is what happens. My point exactly. Burfect deserves a suspension and a hefty fine The Bengals deserve a hefty fine and possibly loss of draft picks. Letting a player get this out of control on the field is an organizational failure. Buffalo Barbarian
just finished the game. WOW! typical Bengals, felt like I was watching a Bills game. What a moron Burfict is, totally had no business hitting him, way to lose the game idiot. My point exactly. Burfect deserves a suspension and a hefty fine The Bengals deserve a hefty fine and possibly loss of draft picks. Letting a player get this out of control on the field is an organizational failure. He should be fined and if I'm the Bengals I fine him too plus some code red blanket party action, but taking picks from the Bengals for one stupid player would be an abuse of power by Goodell. Buffalo Barbarian
How else are you going to change the organizational culture? The organization needs to take control of the situation not the league, they were punished enough by losing in such a horrible manner. Did I mention code red? K-9
Going back to Lewis & the Bungles buffoonery...27 seconds left, 4th & 3 for the Steelers...THE STEELERS HAD JUST CALLED A TO....so coming out of the TO, the Steelers are at the line, and Lewis calls a TO of his own...back-to-back TOs...Marvin Lewis = Idiot. Fire him, tonight! Not really. Coaches often call another timeout after seeing the offensive personel and formation at that stage of the game. Nothing wrong with making sure you have the best playcall and talking it over in such a critical situation. Lots of other things to ding Lewis for, though. GO BILLS!!! Burfect deserves a suspension and a hefty fine The Bengals deserve a hefty fine and possibly loss of draft picks. Letting a player get this out of control on the field is an organizational failure. The refs also have a responsibility to keep players in line. He should have been ejected, either after the Brown hit or even earlier. BTW, Jeremy Hill is a class act. Check out his Twitter Feed: Jeremy Hill @JeremyHill33 3h3 hours ago This ones on me... This city this organization deserves better only thing to do is continue to fight and come back stronger Burfect didn't want to permanently disable Brown Burfect didn't want to knock brown out of the game Burfect didn't want to take Brown out for even a single play When Brown walked off the field, Burfect was there to put a hand on his shoulder and apologize Burfect was running on pure adrenaline when it happened. The Personal Foul and susbsequent timeout were meant to diffuse the situation and left everybody calm down Um, from all appearances, in that moment, Burfict wanted to KILL him! After he realized how much trouble he might be in, he had a change of heart. MVP is the white offensive lineman with a huge beard on the steelers. He was the one who set Pacman off and immediately clapped once Pacman touched the ref to get to him. He knew what he was doing. I admit, it's tough to call that 2nd PF, but the bengals had been asking for it all game. Running into the tunnel was a joke. They are winning in the final 2 minutes. If they can't keep their composure enough to not give the refs anything to debate, then they got what they deserved. It's like the Giants game against us. They knew we'd fall apart. The Bengals were a time bomb out there The officials should have thrown a flag on that. At the very least, it was delay of game. It definitely warranted an unsportsmanlike conduct flag. Agree, but who is going to order the Code Red? Col Jessup is long retired, and General Lewis has one foot in the doorway, and the other foot on the coaching carousel ride. 26CornerBlitz
Meltdown at Paul Brown the end for Marvin Lewis? Marvin Lewis dropped his playoff record to 0-7 in Saturday's loss to the Steelers, and the way his Bengals fell to Pittsburgh this time around is raising some questions about his future in Cincinnati. @NFL "We destructed on ourselves. What did I miss of Bills players intentionally trying to injure opponents, starting fights on the field and running into the locker room with the ball after an interception? The Steelers weren't angels either. A 15 yard taunting penalty after a TD that called back and they were backed up after the turnover, needing to settle for a FG that could have cost them. Shazier had more than one borderline hit and celebrated. Joey Porter on field. Neither team played disciplined IMO.
plenzmd1
The Bungles deserve to lose on a last second, heart breaking FG just for calling that 2pt conversion play. Please say the Biils deserve to win the Super Bowl in September next year.
