26CornerBlitz Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Never lived up to his potential. Good luck Ron!
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Brooks was a real gamer. Any time we needed a key flag, he would come through. Â I am not sure what I will miss more-- the taunting flags when he made a marginally good play, or all those holding/illegal blocks on the returns.
White Linen Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Time to bring back Coy Wire! Â Why are you yelling?
nucci Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Amazing - that guy has played in 46 games with the Bills. I cannot think (or reference) a single big play he made here. because he was mostly a backup and never played regularly...
atlbillsfan1975 Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Never could become a starter, just like at LSU. He has all the makings to be a good nickel corner, but seems the light never came on. Good luck, keep chasing the dream. You got someplace 99% of all football players never get too.
Fixxxer Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 He should probably go to a team/defense that plays mostly zone defense, unlike us.
Kelly the Dog Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 My lasting impression of Brooks is after the game when he got that taunting penalty after making a ST tackle when we were getting killed, someone tweeted that the opposing player he was taunting looked up and yelled, "You're Ron Freakin' Brooks!"
Heitz Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Time to bring back Coy Wire! Â If only so we bring back the constant CUT COY WIRE!! posts...
John from Riverside Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Time to give the kids a chance in that spot
Jamie Nails Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Amazing - that guy has played in 46 games with the Bills. I cannot think (or reference) a single big play he made here. Â Pick six in this year's preseason finale against the Lions. Boom goes the dynamite.

Kelly the Dog Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 did that seriously happen...which game? I don't think it happened. I think it was just some dude who tweeted it, that the look on the guy on the ground who was getting taunted and looking up at Brooks was, like, "You gotta be kidding me, we are murdering you and you're Ron freakin' Brooks!"
Chandler#81 Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Agreed. I love LSU corners. Never got better and will struggle to make a roster. He wasn't a starter there, either -w/ Gilmore. But he was a sensational ST's player and effective nickle. I kept pulling for him here but he just couldn't take another step up.

Are you talking about this year vs Bengals, when Bills were up 7-0?

Kelly the Dog Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Are you talking about this year vs Bengals, when Bills were up 7-0? That must have been it. It was so stupid, one of the most stupid in a season of stupid penalties. It was the one when he tackled the guy and was standing up and the guy was still beneath him and he just started jawing at him like I just kicked your ass, and we were losing.
12Kachy Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Coy Wire? That dude works HLN on the weekends now.
Captain_Quint Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 The first couple of years here, I thought he just needed a little bit of time to catch on, but it never happened. Instead, he started playing with attitude on special teams (and did a fairly good job) but was a huge liability at corner. Can't remember what game it was, but the opposing QB went right at him repeatedly until they took him out.
