Mark80 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I don't understand how any Bills fan could be against this. Every year I watch at least a few episodes and every year I think "how awesome would it be if this was the Bills I was watching?" The "Distraction" argument is unsubstantiated and overblown. Give me as much Bills coverage as possible.
Maury Ballstein Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Oh God if there's one thing that bothers me more than anything it's when people on this website insist they don't want the Bills on Hard Knocks. Yeah JJ Watt's game was really affected by the "distraction." Hard Knocks is like porn for football fans. Seeing the Bills on Hard Knocks would be unbelievable. "I guess I'd watch?" Sure buddy. Yep I don't understand how any Bills fan could be against this. Every year I watch at least a few episodes and every year I think "how awesome would it be if this was the Bills I was watching?" The "Distraction" argument is unsubstantiated and overblown. Give me as much Bills coverage as possible. This. They are in the NFL w the limelight show or not.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Arent we always one of the teams mentioned? CBF
YoloinOhio Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Arent we always one of the teams mentioned? CBF Yes because of criteria of being out of the playoffs for at least 2 years and never having appeared on the show. Edited January 5, 2016 by YoloinOhio
NastyNateSoldiers Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I say do it, yes its a distraction but if the NFL asks us again to do it i say listen this time. Last off-season the Bills pissed off the NFL a few times. We proceeded to be the highest penalized team in the NFL. I'm not sure if these are the reasons. I realize that we as a team had a lot to do with this but it sure seemed like we were being attacked by the refs in the early going of the season. I called it Operation Demoralize. #1 REX using the word BULLY #2 Bills cancel Toronto series #3 Bills turn down NFL twice for Hard Knocks Its time to listen when the NFL asks us to do something its time to mend the fences. LOL
Nanker Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO! A thousand times NO!
Tsaikotic Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) PFT suggests that Bills would be the most entertaining team to be on hard knocks..."So it’s possible that Hard Knocks could be going to the Windy City or Hollywood. But the most entertaining choice would be Buffalo." per PFT Edited January 5, 2016 by Tsaikotic
26CornerBlitz Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 NONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONONO! A thousand times NO! One of the new LA teams will be featured because the league will do everything it can to create buzz in that market.
The Real Buffalo Joe Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Rex + Incognito (assuming we sign him) = Ratings through the roof.
Homey D. Clown Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 For the love of all that's holy, please make this crappy show go away. Why on earth would anyone want to see inside the offseason moves and practice sessions of a perennial 7 win team? It's such a $h1t storm. If anyone in the front office has any sense, please say NO to this crappy TV show.
The Big Cat Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Why have so many Bills fans signed-off on this being a "distraction?"
PromoTheRobot Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I think NFL players already live their lives in front of a camera. What's one more?

Deranged Rhino Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Rams, Raiders, Chargers LA tie in Not a bad pick, but I think it'd be more compelling TV to wait until the stadium(s) are built before covering an LA team. Covering an LA team practicing / playing in temporary digs isn't a good look for the NFL brand.
Alphadawg7 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Lets see, the argument is that its somehow a distraction or we wont do well right? Well not being on the show sure as heck isn't helping either, so whats everyones worry? I mean its pretty ridiculous worry IMO. Texans should in no way have made the playoffs due to all the injuries to their key players. But by all of this boards logic, its impossible for them to make the playoffs because they were on Hard Knocks with all those distractions right? Wrong...playoff game they are playing...they will lose it, but they are IN the playoffs despite over coming the most impossible odds of being on HBO lmao. Its a great show and I would love to see the Bills on there, get more insight into how players camps are going, see behind the curtain on the thoughts of our staff on players, cuts, etc. This show is not going to hold our team back, that claim is based on mythological worries. PS: Whether HBO is there or not, there are cameras at practice...having a few extra camera men isn't changing the dynamic of anything. In fact, you can argue its a bigger motivation because players don't want to get cut, make mistakes, etc in front of a bigger viewing audience. Several coaches who have been on the show before (and I believe Rex was one of them if I am not mistaken) have said they felt players had more intensity and focus while on the show for the most part, not distractions. Santana Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I hope it's the Raiders. I'd love to see coverage of Mark Davis traveling 500 miles for one of his haircuts.
BuffaloFan68 Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I've been against it in the past for Buffalo but feel like now may be a good time for it.
dollars 2 donuts Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Yeah because we have achieved so much by being under the radar Of any comment that has ever been made about possibly being on Hard Knocks, CH's above is what resonates with me the most. ...or at least as much as my fall back argument. That being that Hard Knocks almost made me a fan of the Dolphins. Let me repeat that: Hard Knocks almost made me a fan of the Dolphins. It is good exposure for this team.
Just Jack Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Records of teams on Hard Knocks 2001 - Baltimore Ravens 10-6, lost in 2nd round of playoffs to Steelers 2002 - Dallas Cowboys 5-11, finished 4th in their division (no show from 2003 to 2006) 2007 - Kansas City Chiefs 4-12, finished 3rd in their division 2008 - Dallas Cowboys 9-7, finished 3rd in their division 2009 - Cincinnati Bengals 10-9, lost in 1st round of playoffs to Jets 2010 - New York Jets 11-5, lost in Conference Championship to Steelers 2011 - no show due to labor dispute 2012 - Miami Dolphins 7-9, finished 2nd in their division 2013 - Cincinnati Bengals 11-5, lost in 1st round of playoffs to Chargers 2014 - Atlanta Falcons 6-10, finished 3rd in their division 2015 - Houston Texans 9-7, finished 1st in their division, made playoffs So, teams appearing on the show made the playoffs 5 out of 10 times. None made it to the SB.
Wazzu Bill Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 I will watch the show if they have an LA team or the Bills. All the other teams would be a snooze fest. Jags, Bucs, Bears, Saints? Really? I'd rather put a shotgun in my mouth and pull the trigger with my toes.
