YoloinOhio Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I'd fire Ryan and hire Tom Coughlin in a heartbeat as he is the anti-Rex Ryan. Coughlin runs a very well disciplined team. It has been his choices for DC's along with some The 2015 NY Giants finished the year 6-10 but were #6 in offensive points, #8 in offensive yards. It was their defense led by Steve Spagnuolo who let the team down 30th in points allowed, 32nd in yards allowed. the defense was just about as bad the year before under Fewell. Hire Coughlin and Schwartz as his DC. Keep Roman as OC and this team is in the playoffs in 2016 (provided the team re-signs Incognito-Glenn and finds a decent RT) word out of ny is that he had actually lost control of the team. Willie Colon says this is why he is gone. http://espn.go.com/espn/now?nowId=21-0476122431795240515-4

But then not disciplining a young super-star player when he screws up isn't the reason for the losing season IMO. The 2015 NY Giants lost to the Cowboys in the opener & Patriots by one point. Lost to the NO Saints 49-52 Lost in OT to the Jets. Lost by 3 points 35-38 to the undefeated Panthers. If that defense were worth a damn they would have been in the playoffs this year, and perhaps the SB.
Reed83HOF Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 He knows how to frustrate Bellicheat**** and Lady****

Several times by 10 points or more. 10 fingers of JPP and Cruz for most of season on that team changes everything. That roster was garbage on D - especially at LB. They banked on Beason staying healthy which he's proven he cannot do. TE has been shite since Shockey and Boss. It was really time for Reese to go before TC. TC was so close to HC of the year had the wind blown even slightly in his direction in these close matches. He knows how to frustrate Bellicheat**** and Lady**** I think that is why he is kinda loved somewhat by all NFL fans outside of a certain specific region!!! Took 2 Lombardi's away from those two !@$#$'s

Nanker Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 Oooh! That would be something for the Iggles. Wow! Big middle finger to NY.
YoloinOhio Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 If Coughlin goes there then the non-handshake to Mara after his presser was real. Lol.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 9, 2016 Author Posted January 9, 2016 Oooh! That would be something for the Iggles. Wow! Big middle finger to NY. At least it would be to Mara and Tisch.

Honestly, after the Chip Kelly experiment, Coughlin would a good way to get things back on track.
YoloinOhio Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 (edited) So the Giants actually need to grant permission because he "resigned" with a year left on his deal @rapsheet Tom Coughlin has a year left on his deal, unlikely #Giants would stand in the way of the #Eagles... Would simply avoid paying the final year For logistics on ex-#Giants coach Tom Coughlin: The #Eagles request has come in for an interview and it was granted. Set for Monday night Edited January 9, 2016 by YoloinOhio
Nanker Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 The Jints are a cold organization. Itll be interesting to see how this develops.

26CornerBlitz Posted January 14, 2016 Author Posted January 14, 2016 @RapSheet #Eagles talks with Tom Coughlin have intensified, as well. This could all go down very quickly. He seems to have wrapped his head around it There are "ongoing discussions" between Tom Coughlin and the #Eagles as we speak. Some questions to answer. But they are far down the line.
YoloinOhio Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 @adamschefter Tom Coughlin is withdrawing his name from consideration for Eagles HC job, per sources. Not the right fit.

4merper4mer Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Doug Pederson will likely be the choice once KC has been eliminated. Was he a QB at one point?
