Here’s what the pats got for him:

“the Pats took the original first-rounder from the Bills, packaged it with a sixth-rounder and selected defensive end Ty Warren [news] with the 13th overall pick in 2003. The Bledsoe deal also allowed them the flexibility to trade down from their other first-round position that year (No. 16 overall) and come away with Eugene Wilson [news] in the second round and Vince Wilfork in the first round in 2004.”

Also, check out this interesting tidbit from leo roth in the d & c:

"Because of Bledsoe's limited mobility, the crazy magicians Mularkey and coordinator Tom Clements could only use a portion of their thick playbook. They felt like Penn & Teller with a bent wand.

Beyond that, Bledsoe's horrendous touch on short throws often hamstrung their play calling.

Bledsoe's 53.7 percent completion percentage (36 of 67) on throws behind the line of scrimmage was alarming. Brady and Indianapolis' Peyton Manning hit more than 76 percent of their screen tosses."
