YoloinOhio Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) @adamschefterAFC East looks: Miami requesting HC interviews with Pats OC Josh McDaniels, Pats DC Matt Patricia, Bills asst HC Anthony Lynn, per sources. Edited January 20, 2016 by YoloinOhio
billieve420 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Rooney rule don't see them hiring him. However, it will be good for Lynn to get the experience so positive for him.
YoloinOhio Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 I think he interviewed for Browns OC last year @josinaanderson Im told #Bills assistant head coach/ running backs Anthony Lynn will interview with the #Dolphins on Wednesday.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Ian Rapoport said earlier this season that he'd get some interviews: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/183218-bills-rb-coach-anthony-lynn-expected-to-get-hc-interviews/?hl=anthony+lynn
GunnerBill Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I expect he will get an interview one or two other places too.
BuffalothruMyVeins Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Do we give him much of the credit for Carlos coming on hot, Gilislee being pretty productive, and Shady realizing his promise and not disappointing? I don't know how to tell what is the RB coach and what isn't, but I'm satisfied with the RBs this year and we had the #1 rated run game, so whether it's him or not, I hope he stays.
VanCity Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Why are people assuming Rooney Rule? He is an assistant HC and was in charge of the number one rushing game in the league. Could it just be that he's a great candidate?
YoloinOhio Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 @salsports Bills have granted RB coach Anthony Lynn permission to speak with Dolphins about HC job
TheFunPolice Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 seems like a bit of a jump too soon... Maybe he could be an OC first.... Then again, didn't Andy Reid go from OL coach to HC?
purple haze Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Rooney rule all the way No. He has been a guy that people talked about last year as someone who had head coach potential. He interviewed for OC gigs last year as well as the Jets HC gig. He has been on the radar. He's qualified. The Rooney Rule is not for coaches who are not qualified. It is for coaches who are qualified who need a chance to be interviewed or gain experience in being interviewed so they can get into the mix. Why are people assuming Rooney Rule? He is an assistant HC and was in charge of the number one rushing game in the league. Could it just be that he's a great candidate? Of course not. That would not fit the American thought paradigm that the coach in question is somehow unqualified and "taking" a job or an opportunity from someone who is supposedly more "deserving."
TheFunPolice Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Mike freaking Mularkey is the favorite to land the Titans gig. This league needs the Rooney Rule
purple haze Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Mike freaking Mularkey is the favorite to land the Titans gig. This league needs the Rooney Rule No way. For real?? If he gets that job he's the best con man in the world.
Nihilarian Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 @salsports Bills have granted RB coach Anthony Lynn permission to speak with Dolphins about HC job If I'm not mistaken Charley Casserly said that both Lynn and Hue Jackson will get a lot of interviews and will probably be hired.
YoloinOhio Posted January 5, 2016 Author Posted January 5, 2016 Now interviewing with Niners as well http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/01/05/report-49ers-will-interview-anthony-lynn/
bobobonators Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Mike freaking Mularkey is the favorite to land the Titans gig. This league needs the Rooney Rule Hahaha. It truly amazes me how teams refuse to expand their horizons. Its the same across the board throughout the NFL. Teams continue to interview and higher mediocre coaches who have never accomplished anything in the NFL.
YoloinOhio Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 @armandoselguero Dolphins announce they're done interviewing Buffalo RB coach Anthony Lynn today.
PlayoffsPlease Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Hahaha. It truly amazes me how teams refuse to expand their horizons. Its the same across the board throughout the NFL. Teams continue to interview and higher mediocre coaches who have never accomplished anything in the NFL. we seem to be holding onto Doug Whaley like grim death, and he has never accomplished anything either.
