GunnerBill Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 well they won 8 games, not two... Philbin Campbell Obrien Pagano WhisenPunt Garrett 3 of those guys fired or will be fired - yikes Maybe Whisenhunt as well... but I don't think those other wins were so much about coaching... in the same way that not all 8 losses are on coaching.
Codyny13 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Oh, I think Tyrod has clearly established himself as well. Kyle and Aaron will be the leaders on D. Seeing Tryod pull Jordan Mills out of that scrum today won me over. All the jets fans I was watching the game with said now that's a leader.

Jerry Jones needs a scapegoat for not having a better backup QB on the roster and the Indy owner is a moron.
The Jokeman Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I think all but one are fired. Jerry Jones needs a scapegoat for not having a better backup QB on the roster and the Indy owner is a moron. Jones was in denial about the injuries to Romo and Dez being bigger than they were. The question is does he try and fill the depth at QB with Johnny Football and bring back Greg Hardy? Not sure will either help his team long term as think the Cowboys are in a downward spiral right now.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Watkins carries Bills pass attack, hits 1,000 yards Sammy Watkins had just 147 receiving yards after the team's first seven games, but finished with 1,047, closing the season with a career-high 11 catch effort in the win over the Jets.
What a Tuel Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) Shhhhh That begs the question, where did all those anti Sammy threads and their OP's go? Edited January 4, 2016 by What a Tuel
MyDogLuvsPB Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) This is why you target this man 10+ times a game. 11 catches 136 yards and he completely took over this game and kept our offense on the field with key conversions on third down. WEVE COME A LONG WAY SINCE HIS 0 CATCH performance in week 1. Hopefully Roman has a great understanding on how important it is to get this guy involved on a weekly basis Final Season stats: 60 catches 1047 yards 9 TDs Anybody doubting now that he is our best player? ....just think if he hadnt gotten hurt and we threw to him consistently all season....maybe we would be in the playoffs. People forget that he should've had back to back 1000 catch seasons. IIRC, he was like 20 yards shy of that milestone last year. As a matter of fact, against NE last year, in the final game, he could've had it if he was thrown to in the second half at all. Edited January 4, 2016 by MyDogLuvsPB

As much as I don't think itll matter in the long run, it was probably a personal achievement that would've been nice. It was certainly frustrating that they didn't let him have it. It's not like they are sabotaging the game plan to get him the ball....oh wait that would've take him off decoy duty
Billsfan1972 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Now if they get him to 10 targets/game it will be interesting. Antonio Brown had an average of 14.22/game the last 9 games (remember Ben missed 4 games). BTW there were 26 receivers with 1,000 yards (and Watkins was 22nd).

Why does Antonio Brown diminish Watkins abilities? Does Antonio Brown diminish Odell Beckhams abilities? Scratch that, I read that wrong. Geez Top 5 WR in Targets then Sammy: Julio Jones 204 Antonio Brown 195 DeAndre Hopkins 193 Brandon Marshall 174 Demaryious Thomas 176 Sammy Watkins 95 Edited January 4, 2016 by What a Tuel
YoloinOhio Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Why does Antonio Brown diminish Watkins abilities? Does Antonio Brown diminish Odell Beckhams abilities? how can one even compare what AB and Ben do in that offense after all their time together and Ben as a 2 time SB champ and future HOF, with a 1st year QB and 2nd yr WR who barely even got reps together until Week 1 of THIS season?

I agree, I don't think we necessarily need to give Sammy Watkins the ball 14 times a game, we aren't that type of offense with Shady, and now Karlos. You could see the chemistry between Tyrod and Sammy building over the course of the year though. I think they will only get better over time, and they are both developing into strong leaders on offense. I can see his point though. Just imagine Sammy in Pittsburgh with Antonio level targets.

But to whine about it not happening HERE is like living in an alternate reality.
Maury Ballstein Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I'll just leave this here in case the INlightener stops by to tell is how weak Sammy is again. http://youtube.com/watch?v=PdthCGqOtnY
Billsfan1972 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) of course - or any offense with a QB of that level/experience. But to whine about it not happening HERE is like living in an alternate reality. But I started my whining last year . I compared Watkins to OBJ and said that give him targets and we'll see how they compare. The first 7 games of 2015 was a joke (healthy or not) and Watkins was the one who aired his frustration publicly so this was not a figment of one's imagination. The last 9 games were much improved and the Jets game was shocking where Roman opened the playbook all were clamoring for, and in bad conditions against a premier back he was dominant. Add to that some imaginative playcalling and passes that fans have been screaming for (between the hashmarks, slants, over the middle, short quick hits and comebacks). And then we had the second half vs. KC, the NE game, only 4 targets vs. Houston and 6 vs. Dallas. 9 targets a game is 144 for the season, which still is not top 10. 8 is 128 or 21st. 90 catches would put him 10th and that is not asking or expecting a whole lot. 26CornerBlitz Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 @Cianaf Sammy Watkins carries Bills to victory while once again besting Darrelle Revis http://presnapreads.com/2016/01/04/buffalo-bills-must-keep-feeding-sammy-watkins-in-2016/
YoloinOhio Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 @adamharstad Since returning from injury in week 9, Sammy Watkins has averaged 5.4/100/0.8. Over a full season, that would be 87/1600/12.5. Not bad.
