26CornerBlitz Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 We're talking D-lineman, you know, the unit of the defense that was expected to be a strength, but ended up ineffectual in Wrex's scheme. Why give him more, when he couldn't even use what he had? I think any old, mid-round fat guy will do just fine, taking up space. And maybe bring in another veteran free agent at DE. Get a talented player who will buy in and give 100%.......Then we'll see better results.
Prickly Pete Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Get a talented player who will buy in and give 100%.......Then we'll see better results. Everything I hear is that the focus of Wrex's scheme is the Linebackers (a weak link on the Bills), so it would make more sense to use the pick on a LB.

26CornerBlitz Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Baylor DE Oakman candid about dismissal from Penn State MOBILE, Ala. -- Baylor defensive end Shawn Oakman's dismissal from Penn State is a topic he's having to discuss anew this week as NFL scouts and personnel executives meet with some of the nation's top draft prospects at the Reese's Senior Bowl. But unlike some players who might be reluctant to explain a troubled past, it's a conversation Oakman is happy to have. Houston Texans coach Bill O'Brien, then at PSU, dismissed Oakman in 2012 after an incident in which he reportedly grabbed the wrist of a store clerk.

26CornerBlitz Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 @TyDunne New at the BN Blog: The Shawn Oakman dilemma. Should #Bills roll the dice on freak athlete? http://bills.buffalonews.com/2016/01/27/the-shawn-oakman-dilemma-should-bills-roll-the-dice-on-freak-athlete/
gonzo1105 Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 No Oakman sucks. You look at him physically and drool but he just isn't a good football player.
Blokestradamus Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 No Oakman sucks. You look at him physically and drool but he just isn't a good football player. The poor guys at the Combine are going to need a sundial to clock his 3-cone. As you said, he's a terrible player with no positive traits outside of being tall and that meme.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 @ChaseGoodbread Louisville DL Sheldon Rankins withdraws from #SeniorBowl (knee). @NFL_CFB CollegeFootball 24/7 Retweeted Chase Goodbread Rankins was having a great week. @MikeMayock and @MoveTheSticks agree he's a first-rounder.
26CornerBlitz Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 @CFD22 Another practice, another fun day watching drills. Edge pass rusher? Noah Spence. Noah Spence. NOAH SPENCE. He's the goods @seniorbowl
26CornerBlitz Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 @TyDunne From Mobile: One #Bills DE option is BYU's Bronson Kaufusi, the thinking man's pass rusher. http://bills.buffalonews.com/2016/01/29/byus-bronson-kaufusi-is-the-thinking-mans-pass-rusher/
Luxy312 Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 I think that they end up with Nkemdiche (DT) or Bullard (DE) in the first unless an unlikely Ragland (ILB) or Lee (OLB) fall to them there. Then I could see them turn around at take Butler (DT) in the second round. Either way, I think DE/DT will be at least the first or second pick for them, if not both.
Blokestradamus Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Everyone on the Nkemdiche train needs to follow my man Jim (@Jmcobern1). At least check out his TL, you may find yourself reconsidering your stance on him.
YoloinOhio Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 @chasegoodbread Mayock believes 10 defensive tackles have a 1st-round grade from at least one team. Absolutely loaded this year.
Marty McFly Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 Reed was beasting in the SB game today. and his last names Reed. lol nevermind josh reed makes that argument void. Still Reed was a beast out there today.
YoloinOhio Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Spence vs NC state 2015 http://draftbreakdown.com/video/noah-spence-vs-nc-state-2015/
Blokestradamus Posted February 1, 2016 Posted February 1, 2016 Just watched a bunch of Nkemdiche games on DraftBreakdown and I still don't see this phenom 1st round player. He's like a plus version of Rakeem Nunez-Roches who was a 6th rounder last year. Undersized 1-gap 3-Tech with a great first step and hit/miss after that. Inconsistent motor, has power in his hands but can't use it enough to be dominant, lateral movement is laboured. Little in the way of counter moves. Before you include the off-field stuff, the dude is still just recruiting hype.
