A couple of guys that I’m watching closely as prospects that could fill the Bills’ need for a bigger boundary target, and may be available in the middle rounds:

Geronimo Allison of Illinois is 6’4”, and listed at 200 lbs. He’s a very similar player to Anderson in terms of burst off the LOS and that he knows how to use leverage to gain a release against press-man, and is a monster in contested catch situations. He also lined up on the boundary and in the slot for the Fighting Illini.

Sensational at Shrine (2TD), got invited to Sr. Bowl as a late invite

nice comeback when QB in trouble-->netted a reception. That shows a lot about his coaching.

good blocking downfield, critical in G-Ro offense

Here is some analysis I did of WRs I think might be there at RD3#80, with a couple earlier as a reference. I will add your guys, Bandit!!

So I'm watching the Baylor-Texas college basketball game on ESPN just now, and they announced that a Buffalo Bills scout is in attendance scouting Rico Gathers:

Compared him to a potential Antonio Gates... interesting.

Interesting -

@jerrymeyer247

Have heard that this is the second game recently that the Buffalo Bills have had scouts watching Rico Gathers. No brainer since HS freshman.

Assume he isn't expected to make it in the NBA? Guy would be nuts to pick the NFL over basketball if he has a chance there.

from what I gather (no pun intended) he isn't "nba good" but basketball was his first choice. Also very interested in football going back a few years. Didn't play in HS as his school didn't have football but did play in middle school.

I'll be keeping an eye out for Tulsa's Keyarris Garrett as a day 3 prospect.

Big, physical, good hands, good blocker.

Also, 4:30 mark of the video below...are you freaking kidding me with this catch?

I liked what I saw of him in the bowl game against VT

I really don't get the draft a receiver high talk. Our offense isn't about progressions and throwing to multiple Wrs. Woods is a fine #2. We have already spent 2 1sts, 1 2nd, & a 3rd on receivers in the last 3 draft. What good franchise drafts receivers like that? Pittsburgh is best receiver drafting team in the NFL. They rarely draft guys high.

That said, I'm all about the TEs. I love Hunter Henry and love the potential in OJ Hiward. You need two good TEs, especially in Roman's offense. O'Leary really disappointed me this year. My brother loved Witten before his draft (his smartest prediction ever). I'm all in on a Witten clone (Henry). And Howard looked like he could be an elite TE talent and he was completely unselfish in his role all year.

We need another player who can demand a CB and safety be very aware of him. We do not have that right now.

Does not mean we need to draft one high.

We could always move up in the third round and score one :wallbash:

I saw Rob Quinn's analysis of the passing game concepts under Roman and his opinion is the Bills could use more of a speed guy who can stretch vertically/underneath -- not necessarily a big target.

I like your kid. -Excellent hands... Might get stolen away by the Giants?... Rams?

Rams at RD2#43. We have Paxton Lynch taken by the Rams in RD1, coming back for Thomas in RD2. Whoah.
