26CornerBlitz Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 @NFL_CFB Dak Prescott not only #NFLDraft prospect getting busy meeting with teams --> http://on.nfl.com/1S4uqZT If the Cowboys want to bring Prescott to Dallas for a visit as well, they'd better get on his schedule quickly. He has also scheduled visits to the Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills next month.
26CornerBlitz Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 @NFL_CFB Better #NFLDraft prospect, Carson Wentz or Jared Goff? NFL execs make their pick --> http://on.nfl.com/1S4AGkg
papazoid Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Jared Goff "I'm just not crazy about him, not at all. He doesn't win. Show me a quarterback who didn't win in college, that did well up here? There aren't many. To me he's another Jay Cutler. And you can take that any way you want." - NFC Scout http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000646540/article/nfc-scout-cals-jared-goff-is-another-jay-cutler
26CornerBlitz Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Stanford QB Kevin Hogan's NFL Draft Diary: A pro day just like scripted it In his latest diary entry exclusively for NFLDraftScout.com, the record-breaking Stanford quarterback reflects on his Pro Day, including the changes to his throwing motion that have NFL scouts taking note.
JTO Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 ... Can you ever fix a QB with a terrible throwing motion? Perhaps you can, but then that would alter your accuracy. In the long run you're taking a big chance. I'd rather go with Prescott or Hackenburg.

I'd rather go with Prescott or Hackenburg. honestly I think if we go heavy defense we can pick up vernon adams as a UDFA. kids like the next Russel Wilson, Would fit great in G-Ro scheme, has great accuracy and deep ball from the pocket, also is mobile when he needs to be. IF Tyrod gets hurt and manuel pulls a manuel he could step up and be what Tyrod was last season with maybe a few rookie hiccups. I also like Prescott much more then Hackenburg, Hack is accurate and makes good decisions but he is really slow and is gonna get demolished vs the teams with good pass rush.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 @JoshNorris On the heels of the Doug Whaley- Kevin Hogan comment that made the rounds, uncle @TonyPauline posted this in Feb. http://www.draftinsider.net/blog/?p=11269 no wonder Whaley sux at picking QBs

26CornerBlitz Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 2016 NFL Draft: Carson Wentz to make final argument at NDSU pro day Senior Bowl? Check. NFL Combine? Check. Next up for quarterback Carson Wentz is the North Dakota State pro day on Thursday to show whey he should be the first player drafted at the position.

Coach Tuesday Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/03/23/nfl-draft-carson-wentz-jared-goff-paxton-lynch 2. Never blame the coach. Per two personnel sources on two separate teams who have shown interest in drafting Penn State’s Christian Hackenberg, the quarterback has said all the wrong things in interviews when asked to explain his declining sophomore and junior numbers (a combined 28 touchdowns and 21 interceptions). Hackenberg has shifted blame to coach James Franklin, who took over in 2014 when coach Bill O’Brien departed for the Texans. Said one evaluator: “Despite the fact that it’s probably true, you don’t want to hear a kid say that.”

And he still couldn't make the play. He's tough to watch.

That was outstanding.
reddogblitz Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 When is Vernon Adams Jr. pro day? He's the only QB in this draft I'm interested in. I REALLY hope we get this cat. Look at my quote from Roger the Dodger in my sig. Vernon's got it in spades and can back it up when on the field. He can back up Tyrod this year. He'd be a great guy to have in the pipeline.

Oregon: Brandt: Official results Quarterback Vernon Adams -- 5-foot-10 7/8, 198 pounds -- ran the 40-yard dash in 4.86 seconds on both attempts. He also had a 28-inch vertical jump. Adams throws the ball really well; he can really spin it. However, he's on the shorter side for a quarterback. So, he's probably a CFL-level player.

That's what everyone said about Flutie and Warren Moon and Russell Wilson. He's only 1 inch shorter than Drew Brees. Can that really be a deal breaker? A smart OC would get him out of the pocket and design passing lanes for him. All these guys are flyers this year. Why draft a guy like Hogan who might be a decent backup someday?. If going for a flyer, take the guy who may be magic. He was at Eastern Washington and Oregon.
Astrobot Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 If Paxton Lynch is there at 19, I take him, not to play in 2016-17 but to work with David Lee on drops and reads. If you say we can't neglect the DL talent in this draft, I fully agree. The latest DraftTek draft shows that very scenario. The Bills get Lynch, Floyd, then ==> http://www.drafttek.com/2016-NFL-Mock-Draft-Round3.asp
