Roman and Tyrod have been a god send to this team. Without those two we are probably 5-11 or so and Pegula almost definitely cleans house this offseason.

There really isn't much reason into thinking next year will be different.

Rex alone created 4 or 5 more holes for this team to fix in the offseason.... We don't have the cap room to fill these holes on top of a very difficult schedule next year we will be looking at another 8-8 season, IMO.

Yeah he broke a defense that didn't need to be tinkered with and it will be difficult to add all the scheme specific players they need to fix it.............so I say don't try to patch every hole.

Focus the attention on offense and try to make the offense exceptional..........if the defense can be fixed on the cheap then fine.

They can't just bring back Bob "skates" Woods and expect teams to keep letting Sammy Watkins run past them each week. Teams will adjust and the Bills need to be ahead of that curve.

I actually agree with this

I am not happy with the job Rex has done this year.....the penalties are especially bad

but

I envision a offseason where players that quit on him or didnt buy into his system will be gone gone gone......and Rex type players will be brought in

I absolutely do not expect the bills to have the let down of the D next year as they did this......Whaley will get him what he needs....Pegula has the open checkbook (yes we will need to do restructures due to cap)

After years of being average, the Jets got a coach that took them deep into the playoffs 2 years in a row.

How will Bills media canonize the next Bills coach that is able to break the playoff drought and take us to an AFC Championship game?

Perspective. :)

Mehta wrote that love note years after those two magical Jets seasons...4 years years after they went straight off a cliff. If the next BIlls coach delivers 2 AFCE appearances and then immediately follows it with 8-8, 6-10, 8-8, and 4-12 Bills fans would be screaming for his release, just as they were in NYJ. Only a few hardcore koolaiders would want to keep him.

Rex, Whaley...everyone said that they the had exact players they wanted as soon as Rex was hired. Were they lying? Confused?
