Billsfan1972 Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) Think about it...... Bills beat Indy & Miami twice handily. Wins vs. Houston, Tennessee, Dallas & NYJ and nothing really stands out in those victories. Losses vs. NYG, NE x 2, KC, Wash, Phi, Jax & Cincy Not a single edge of your seat exciting game all year though the Bills were in many into the fourth quarter and even then they all fizzled out. Few big plays, seldom stops, no exciting offense, lousy 2-minute play and adequate not an exciting passing game. Really can't think of a season so bereft of excitement. Johnny Hammersticks Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 This might fit nicely in the negative thread.
Billsfan1972 Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) This might fit nicely in the negative thread. A team could go 6-10 and there be excitement. Dallas will win 4-5 games and yet they had many exciting nail biters. Yes their offense was terrible, but a more interesting year. NO a dumpster fire on D, but fun to watch and some really good games. Tennessee, St. Louis, Oakland too off the top of my head. I can't really think of a good game to watch. Yes beating the crap out of Miami & Indy was fun, but exciting they were not. This team was plain old boring to no end. Edited December 30, 2015 by Billsfan1972
1st Ammendment NoMas Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 it's true. this year truly sucked for watching Bills football. The only positive for me was seeing Tyrod begin to develop. The defense was like watching your dog slowly die, truly sickening.

Few big plays, seldom stops, no exciting offense, lousy 2-minute play and adequate not an exciting passing game. Really can't think of a season so bereft of excitement. A mess of confusion on defense, penalties and a first year starting QB on training wheels gave everyone a season of unsatisfying memories. What I do want for 2016 is for the offense to become more slanted towards passing for TDs early in games. That seems to be the key to winning more games in the modern NFL game IMO. There was much to much offensive passivity in games this year which led to long droughts of point production. Since it will be Taylor second year, the hope is that they can attack much more early in games.
Jauronimo Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I thought all those deep passes including 9 TD passes of 40 yards or more were pretty exciting. I also enjoyed this season's long TD runs. I know that it isn't everyone's cup of tea but I guess I'm just into that type of thing.

Without question the fact that TT threw those long balls for myself is huge. Long ball Accuracy! missing for too long. probabaly the biggest asset heading into the long painful offseason of forced Kool-Aid drinkers threads.
Billsfan1972 Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) Highlights in games..... Sure...... Excitement however is something else. Do you realize the longest Kickoff return was 31 yds? Punt return 27 yds. Ints 14, Fumbles 8, Sacks 20..... http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/defense/sort/sacks As for passing...... http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/passing/sort/netPassingYards Yes #1 in rushing...... http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/team/_/stat/rushing Edited December 30, 2015 by Billsfan1972

The TN and NYJ games were exciting games with good finishes. Tyrod, Sammy, Karlos and Gillislee made a bunch of big plays on offense. The D didn't make many plays. That was missed but there were a lot of highlights in general just nowhere near enough from the big $ stars Mario, Kyle, Percy, LeSean, Marcel and Hughes. Edited December 30, 2015 by #BADOL
Billsfan1972 Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) The Jets game the Bills let them back in and did nothing the second half. I was over the moon the first 20 mins vs. KC and then they fizzled. The D played well vs. NE and the the Offense was Meh. Not a single long catch and run...... Last in YAC. Watkins should have had 25 more receptions this year....... The list goes on and on. The Bills are great at setting expectations low. Another great example was the first drive vs. NE the second game of the season. 80 perfect yards in 5 minutes and then 3 and outs and little 'til the fourth when the game was essentially over..... Heck the stadium was half full by the time they mounted a comeback. There was no excitement from the O in the fourth quarter the entire season. Edited December 30, 2015 by Billsfan1972
Jamie Nails Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 The Tenn game was miserable for all but the last few minutes. I was there and it sucked really, really bad.

BADOLBILZ Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 The Tenn game was miserable for all but the last few minutes. I was there and it sucked really, really bad. More than half of that wildcard game against Houston in 1993 was an utterly unwatchable abomination. If you guys were disappointed in the amount of high points this season you must have been flat-lining for Mularkey year 2 thru the first couple years of Gailey. Talk about a dearth of playmaking. This season finally brought some big play offense back to Buffalo.

The 2015 would have milked the clock and spent too much time in the huddle to get back in that game. And Watkins should have had a minimum 25 more catches.... There was so much more offense to be had.....
BillsFan130 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 The Houston game was a descent win and was pretty exciting. But besides that, I definitely agree with you

I also enjoyed this season's long TD runs. I know that it isn't everyone's cup of tea but I guess I'm just into that type of thing. Yeah I enjoyed the offense too. Sammy and Shady are among the best in the league at being explosive. Defense highlight game was NE2. Tyrod fun to watch, Darby, Karlos. Special Teams was rough. Fix it please.

Coverage was good, returns were awful. Usually you break 1 or 2 just by accident. This year, nothing. Offense: Sammy did give us a few thrills, but packed into just a few games. Tyrod was fun to watch, but ... where were those 2 minute drills? They all fizzled. Tyrod was probably an upgrade over Orton, but Orton may have had more high pressure moments. Defense? Rambo made a few big plays, but certainly the pass rush didn't do anything. No images that stick in my mind in 2015 the way Kyle Williams flattening Johnny Football did last year. Really just that play where Mario picked up and body slammed a RB. I can't even remember who it was, but it was the sole highlight reel moment for Mario all year. My favorite moment in retrospect? Rex conferring with the Chaplain on whether to throw the challenge flag. That one will continue to make me laugh all offseason.
