GunnerBill Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hughes has been the only guy on the defense this year who has generated anything like consistent pressure. I actually think his sack numbers are not a fair reflection of how well he has played and he is the only one of the cold front about whom you can say that.
Charles Romes Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hughes Dareus and Darby are the cornerstone of the Defensive rebuild after everyone else strong arms themselves out of town.
YoloinOhio Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Hughes Dareus and Darby are the cornerstone of the Defensive rebuild after everyone else strong arms themselves out of town.plus Gilmore
C.Biscuit97 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Unfortunately, football isn't a sport for the well-adjusted. I think the larger problem is that either he or the coaching staff doesn't recognise that he's being watched like a hawk after picking up a lot of flags. His margin for error is becoming smaller by the week. I get what you're saying but it's crap. I really don't remember stupid penalties Hughes is getting this year last year. Methinks Rex needs to man up and get control of his team.

Manther Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) Jerry brings it every week. Gotta give him that.Yep!!!Hughes Dareus and Darby are the cornerstone of the Defensive rebuild after everyone else strong arms themselves out of town.Agreed. Plus Gilmore. But, someone needs to teach Gilmore to tackle without risking injury. Edit: and hopefully it isn't a rebuild, but, a slight transition. And, hopefully A.Williams is able to recover. He is worth his contract. Edited December 29, 2015 by Manther
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I like hughes - he gets hurries and pressures. He also takes much better angles on his rushes than mario does - doesn't get caught up field as much.
TakeYouToTasker Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I know Jerry's mother in law. He pays her $500 cash per penalty. She makes more from him than my damn salary.I'm sorry to hear that you earned less than $7000 in 2015.
sir andrew Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 http://thebiglead.com/2014/10/12/jerry-hughes-got-a-personal-foul-for-celebrating-by-slapping-his-own-teammate-on-the-helmet/ Poor Jerry. Just gets too excited I guess.
Blokestradamus Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I'm betting Dareus is always hungry... Is that why the OP has his hat off? Marcell ate it?
nucci Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Had more penalty yards than sack yards lost. Not impressed Obviously
BillnutinHouston Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Jerry brings it every week. Gotta give him that.As maddening as Hughes' prolific penalizing has been this year, I have to agree with this.
machine gun kelly Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 He did play better than anyone else, and maybe it was the scheme, but love the guy. He did not get a bloated contract. He was paid reasonably for a DE.
Nanker Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I seriously have a lot of respect for you....you are fighting a noble fights... Fixed it 4U.
Augie Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 I know Jerry's mother in law. He pays her $500 cash per penalty. She makes more from him than my damn salary. Her agent should negotiate to make this per penalty YARD. She could summer on the French Riviera.
Formerly Allan in MD Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 5 sacks. I'll keep my hat on You can't sack when you're in pass coverage.
RealityCheck Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 The Bills have had a collection of dumb players for a long time now. Hughes is just one example. It seems effort and results are the same thing for some people.
vincec Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) Actually, except for Mario, I think everyone in the front 7 has consistently played hard this season Edited December 30, 2015 by vincec
cage Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 5 sacks. I'll keep my hat on ahh... also some serious zone blitz coverage that Mario was complaining and confused about. He covered Gronk downfield a couple times and broke up one of the passes. There was also a serious highlight in the first game against Colts where a sack was the result of Hughes covering TE downfield. When Luck saw TE blanketed he had to go down for Hughes coverage sack....He's been a stud!!
