26CornerBlitz Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 @MMehtaNYDN Column: Ryan Fitzpatrick belongs in NFL MVP conversation. Top 3 right now... ahead of Brady http://nydn.us/1YOsB6S Talk about bad Mehta data!
machine gun kelly Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 He's been hot for five games, but that is not the MVP. I'm happy for him, but if he does this all year in 2016, he should be considered, but not a 1/3 of a season.
Boolay Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Mediocre for 11 games and then hot for 5 does not = MVP. I guess this is the type of reporting you get when you outsource your coverge of the team.
Nanker Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Sure, he's in the conversation. Like, ____________ is better than Fitzpatrick. And ______________ is WAY better than Fitzpatrick. And of course ________________ is so much better than Fitzpatrick, that it's not even close.
filthymcnasty08 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) He's the best of the meh QB's in the league this year. Maybe we should invent an award for that…."The Kitna"..or "the Testaverde" Edited December 29, 2015 by filthymcnasty08

Are you really highlighting in a negative way the fact that Mehta--a longtime NY reporter--is Indian-American? If so--and I can't help but think that it is--that's really weak. dpberr Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 I think he'd have to engineer the Jets to the Super Bowl to be within striking distance of that award because the people who do the voting are enamored with the big names. .
Hapless Bills Fan Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 @MMehtaNYDN Column: Ryan Fitzpatrick belongs in NFL MVP conversation. Top 3 right now... ahead of Brady http://nydn.us/1YOsB6S I'm happy for Fitz, but "the improbable engine of a team that nobody, including the reigning Super Bowl champions, wants to face in January?" Seriously, Manish? Nobody wants to face the Jets? Isn't that kind of an improbable statement? Well, now, wait a minute, that might be true. First you have the Dalton-less Bengals led by AJ McCarron. I guess maybe I'd prefer them to the Jets? Then you have the Weedon-led Texans or the ?? led Colts. One of them preferred to Jets, check. Next up, either the Osweiler-led Broncos or the Chiefs. That defense on the Broncos, man....but Osweiler? Mehta may actually be correct in that improbable statement.

26CornerBlitz Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 Manish loves Fitz. Better known as a Manish crush?

C.Biscuit97 Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Fitz deserves all the credit in the world. He's not a MVP but he has been damn good for them. Once again it shows how stupid snap judgments on Qbs are. You never know.

K D Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Brandon Marshall is the mvp of that team. How the heck did Chicago give him up for a 6th and how the heck did the Bills not get in on that?
